Nah I think it looks fairly crisp.. the video is super low res. If it is Need for Speed effects copy and pasted over to snowboarding I won't be getting it.

It's a TV show in the US, but you can see 4 short previews on the website I think. I dunno, have a look around but I know it's there. It exists.

I don't think it's under-rated.. lots of places are saying it's the best war game ever. Problem is it's not doing much new in a really stagnant genre. It's playing it safe to quote someone. It takes review scores from a variety of respected and large gaming publications, websites and shows.. averages them out evenly and ranks them by average score:number of reviews. I think user rating has an influence somewhere also. The problem with that is different magazines have different scales.. and now people are taking game rankings as gospel. When in fact staying 'true' to a particular website or magazine that you feel attached to is much better. For a lot of older open minded gamers EDGE remains the gospel reviewer.

Please can we stop talking about that biased shit. Just because it's formulaic doesn't mean that reviewing trends haven't changed over the last 15 years of videogames. It also doesn't mean shit because most reviewers have rushed it out to meet the game's deadline. Where as with mid-end game titles the reviewers get more time before the game is released to make their minds up. Personally the only rankings I put any faith in are the ones voted by and for gamers on multiformat international websites like IGN.com

Well really.. if you have access to the weather, news, browser, games, the virtual console, settings, data management and Mii then I'm pretty much happy. Sony released the PSP late and has had many firmware updates.. I don't think Nintendo will do this really. It's as functional as I could want (for a games machine) so any updates after say.. March 07 are gonna be no use to me really.

GT5 will not have microtransactions. This is a response to backlash from fans who want to play GT in HD but don't want to pay as you go. As a result it's a concept download for free. On another note Studio Liverpool have been working hard. More at IGN like with rain and shit.

No, not even by freeloader by all accounts. Mod chips/hacked firmware should take a couple of months. I'll be waiting for a near final or final firmware before I get mine chipped so I don't have to update it anymore. PS. don't be bad mm'kay?

Because it is a multiplatform port game, not just that but it's the first true benchmarked comparison of what the Wii is capable of. That's a damned good reason if you ask me. It will silence the fanboys. These are cold hard facts.

Lack of "WOW" Owned Iwata.

Heard it's gone down pretty badly for pub owners in Scotland.. all the heavy smoking addicts are drinking beer at home instead. The influx of new non smokers hasn't been good enough to keep pubs afloat.. when you consider energy costs of keeping a pub warm are pretty high. It's not good. But I hate smoking with a passion. So wahey, maybe this will help a lot of people quit.. thus they will have more money to enjoy their lives for longer with less stress (hopefully) I will also note that it's good that it's banned in the workplace too.. people who take smoking breaks work 30 minutes less every day than non smokers (and get paid) over a week that's 3 hours wages.. over a year it's something like £4000!
