  1. Don't get your hopes up, Live version sucked.
  2. You know what Dicky bird says. If the price is right.
  3. Holy shit you're back Guarana.
  4. There's already 2 fishing games in development, I'm sure someone will pick it up. Development costs are so low that even a large golf manafacturer could finance it themselves providing the console sales are good enough.
  5. Not that I want to turn this intellectual debate about the corporate placement of Ubisoft at the heart of the Wii launch into (another) debate about graphics. But I thought I would post this because Rayman is a labour of love. Yeah the other titles are lazy rehashes but it's unfair to generalise against these two games.
  6. Any comparison between Zelda and Ubisoft games is unfair, there's always this statistic Red Steel and Zelda have similar production values (in $$$) but Zelda has been engineered for a lot longer and at the Wii's home. I've not given a second of thought to any Ubisoft games besides Red Steel and Rayman though. It shows on the forum (as none of them have their own threads) that these games are going to sell to kids with low standards. The control method alone will probably make them love it.
  7. I am here to big up Rayman the most fun game of all. Yes I work for Ubisoft m'kay. FUN FUN FUN FOR EVERYONE buy Rayman! Yes i am disapointed Rayman only runs at 30 fps and has no progressive scan. End of the day they are launch titles..
  8. I disagree, I bought a Wii to get away from sequelism. Red Steel will be rad, but once is enough. Ubisoft Paris could pump out some really decent shit while they're working on this. If it's worth doing.. it's worth doing right. If it's done right it should only need to be done once. This is quite a general statement but I won't be laying down the cash for this game twice. There is an army of people who buy GTA again and again.. I stopped after Vice City. Ubisoft are no doubt hoping this will become the GTA of Wii (because the distinct lack of super violent games planned thus far)
  9. It's interesting people are choosing so many games that are getting sequels improved on the Wii. I chose mine solely on what will not be on the Wii. Guess that's Nintendo-ism for you, the love of buying the same game twice. No disrespect, your choices are noble.
  10. Tiger Woods is a freaking jerk. Get a different golf game (innevitable there will be others besides Mario Golf and Super Swing)
  11. No thanks Ubisoft.
  12. That's classic.
  13. Not quite what I meant but okay.
  14. ONLY FOR? /LOL
  15. Unlucky, they don't actually tell you on the ordering page. At that price (and on Froogle) I can't imagine they'll meet supply by Christmas.. but I could be wrong.
  16. The core pack didn't. Irrespective this is still making a meal out of a mole hill. Darthbane on his crusade of criticism. The launch has a console, games and is reasonably priced. If anything we should be whinging that the system is launching without a WiFi enabled game.. not over some stinking official cable which will be here in a couple of weeks (3rd party alternatives are available at launch)
  17. I hope those dog tags flop harder than free willy. Stupidest marketing gimmick ever.
  18. HMV isn't listing accesories anymore, and barely any games either.
  19. Grr just wrote a long post. Basically was summarising that I expect a £200 Wii bundle of a Wii + a full price game. It's a nice round number.. I know they don't have to do it, but publishers might strike a deal with GAME. Zelda is gonna swamp Sega and Ubisoft, it's in their interest to cut a price of a few of their games to compete. Wii = £180, so they would be getting £20 for the game. Most people would not turn that down. I'm thinking Ubisoft and Sega should be the ones to make the first move otherwise they won't make the charts. GAME has such a huge market share (60%+) that if a publisher makes a deal like this like the Lego Star Wars 2 for £20 deal this week then they can shift a lot more games. £200 for a Wii + Rayman? Yes please!
  20. If you order from GAME I imagine you'd get it on the 8th or 9th.. however the game is not exactly worth playing on launch day anyway. It's just mini games. Most people will be trawling through Zelda on 1 player. Play3k does indeed do this delivered for £27.99 and games like Zelda for £29.99, but they've also sold out.
  21. Said what was one everyone's mind. Quoted for truth. It has become so nit picky lately with everyone getting so angsty because this hasn't been confirmed or this is out of stock and unofficial. I've become so disheartened I just started using my block list.
  22. Also there's a transport for london website which details the tube, buses and main lines out of London. Assuming me and my friend can be at the front of the line and out of the Oxford Street store at 00:10 we can catch a bus to Liverpool St. and be out of London with our Wiis. But that's under the assumption we can get in and out in 10 minutes.
  23. GAME Stores Group Ltd, Europe's leading video games retailer, have confirmed that they will be opening their flagship Oxford Street store at midnight on Thursday 7th December 2006 to sell the very first units of the highly anticipated Nintendo Wii, the incredible new console that could well rewrite the videogame rulebook. Nintendo and GAME are expecting hundreds of customers who have pre-ordered their Nintendo Wii's to queue up to collect them on the stroke of midnight, so keen are they to start experiencing this unique way of playing games. The launch extravaganza will include music, crowd entertainment, competitions, pizza delivery and demonstration Wii pods to play on. The grand finale will be a countdown to midnight when the first Nintendo Wii will be purchased by the lucky gamer at the front of the queue.
