Even less chance of getting 3 for the price of 2 in store. Unless it is selected games only (Fruit Fall, Pinball and Happy Feet)

HMV = the worst f**king retailer in Britain

I wanted a 25th birthday Mario shirt. -
Negatory: Nice prices for an online retailer also.

Cute but not worth £15

You don't give up do you? -
Damn straight it was. Interestingly Zelda has a 75% attachment rate making it the most succesful full priced launch title I reckon. How did Halo do on launch day?

YOU CAN'T PRICE UP A SYSTEM LIKE THAT. There are economies of scale and business deals that mean bulk orders can be much lower. You know Apple get 60% mark up on iPods now they make their click wheels in house? You have no idea in whaat companies Nintendo has stakes (Apple owns a fair part of Samsung's flash department now they are shipping flash based iPods saving them 80%) Here is what an expert would do: Berger estimates that Toshiba hard disk drives account for approximately 46 percent and 61 percent of Apple's materials cost for the 30GB ($60) and 80GB ($110) model, respectively. Other costly components standard amongst both models are said to include a $9.00 2.5-inch color LCD screen, a $6.00 Li-ion battery, $5.80 PortalPlayer SoC, $8.50 Broadcom video decoder, $3.00 Wolfson audio codec, $2.50 Click-Wheel and $9.00 aluminum case and connector kit. The analyst estimates the total bill-of-materials cost for the $249 30GB model to be just $130.90, which would represent a 47.4 percent margin before freight, marketing and other costs. Similarly, he estimates materials for the $349 80GB model cost just $180.90, yielding margins of approximately 48.2 percent. Until an expert dissects the price of a Wii part by part you are guesstimating, and they are uneducated guesses also. I wanted the Wii to be £150.. it probably costs on the low end of 3 figures to make, but it's fresh and the WiFi is free.

I know what you mean, 9am woke up early especially to get in "Good morning, a Mario Kart DS pak please" Certainly sir. Best feeling since the PSone came out and I picked it up from Toys R Us. What's even more of an adrenaline rush is driving about a midnight on the 7th of December looking for retailers in Essex with stock left, we're going to go to Clacton, Ipswich, Colchester.. Chelmsford until we find one.

I'm not the police.. but not everyone is going to want this.

Wait until the man speaks.

Buying my own present this year again, DS last year with Mario Kart.. Wii this year with Rayman. I don't buy for others. I'm quite glad the BBC has a decent Christmas line up, Pirates of the Caribbean (shock horror I've not seen it) and Monsters Inc. I am not really into the festivities.. I'll go to parties, but I'll probably have a curry Christmas day or something.

Well I don't want to miss out on people using their initiative to use http://www.froogle.co.uk either. But that is their loss. Most people I speak to are either internet bargain hunters or happy to spend an extra £5-10 on each item they buy at a launch party.

I was more excited when it was all a mystery.

MY BUM IS ON THE CHEESE. It's been done. Think it was called "Wiinjuries" or something.

I only bought a GameCube 3 months ago actually.. and my DS a year ago. Before that I was a die hard Sony fanboy. So this is not an issue of whether I am a fan of Nintendo games (which I am not as I read EDGE) and I didn't suggest this game was on a similar vein to Mario or Monkey Ball.. I know it's kinda like the Sims for kids with a bit of Pokemon mixed in. I'm sick of this attitude that you can't judge a game until you've played it. It's not a closed book.. I've seen videos, previews, reviews and photos from commenters and the creators. There is no denying that this is aimed at kids, the kids TV show that's being put together really is the nail in the coffin on your argument. You're free to play it sure, but this seems to be more of a parent and child kinda game. It's Microsoft's attempt to break the children's market from Nintendo and to an extent Sony. Perhaps I'm underestimating kids but I could never complete the likes of Alex Kid or Mario Bros. I wasn't that hardcore. But hey.. that didn't stop people buying Lego Star Wars in the bazillions did it?

Zero laughs. Knob/untasteful sexuality jokes are not funny.

Shout out to BigTac.. where-ever he/she may be -
Amazon.com sold out in less than 60 seconds thanks to American Nintendo campers. (source: The Times) I think they started selling on the hour. Amazon.co.uk sold out in 7 minutes (reports varied slightly between 5 and 13 minutes but 7 minutes was the most common) and I think they started selling between 09:15 and 09:33 The details are sketchy.. it always is the case with media and news agencies. When reporting ont he 360 heist last week the Sun used a picture of the original XBOX consoles (well done guys)
