[Japan] Nintendo's lineup for year 2007
Nintendork replied to Teppo Holmqvist's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yes, whilst showing you multimedia instructions. It's not going to sweep the exercise video market away.. celebrities have that covered. I really don't see it being the next Brain Trainer. It certainly isn't a killer app. Brain Trainer did something new.. it trained people's brains in a world where consumption and passive activities rot them, you could do it on the commute and for a reasonable price. I don't trust Nintendo to keep my back straight with some exercises.. I want to see a doctor. -
That's Microsoft HQ

[Japan] Nintendo's lineup for year 2007

Yes, it's a freaking multimedia software package for diagnosing illnesses, and has some videos and tips on how to stay healthy. Just like on the NHS.uk website (without the videos) -
That doesn't make sense. The bar even if connected by USB doesn't transmit data. Just electricity. What could work for that solution, is to get the drivers, map them onto a bluetooth enabled computer and then you'd be able to use the Wiimote on your computer. I'd say give it 6 months for that to come out.

It has been floating around a few days that the sensor bar, doesn't actually sense anything.. it merely transmits IR frequencies so that the Wiimote can triangulate it's position and send data to the Wii via bluetooth. http://www.hackaday.com/2006/11/22/wii-dont-need-no-stinkin-sensor-bar/ These are the geeks that figured it out. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/24/diy-erless-wii-sensor-bar/ You can make one on your own, using a couple of IR LED lights, some batteries and junk, but damn does it look ugly. There's a rumoured retail solution as mentioned in the Joystiq post for a wireless sensor bar that will simply run off AAs in the same way. In theory.. if the Wii sensor bar is just recieving power from the Wii.. and not actually transmitting any data- then it should be possible to cut up the cable. And splice in a battery pack/inverter somehow. If it's coming straight out the Wii it's probably DC instead of AC so an inverter might be needed. I have a friend who uses a projector, he's also a geek so will no doubt be doing this himself.. but is it do-able? And would anyone be willing to do it in the name of science?

I'd like the original text that babel fish that could not translate. That is the most interesting. Is this the first confirmation we've had that Super Paper Mario is hopping from Cube to Wii? Everyone saw it coming but now they can start speculating what the controller will do I guess. I'll be picking up 4, and considering a further 4. Health pack is kinda silly as we have the NHS.uk website, and doctors. Wii Music is gimmick central afaic. Eyeshield 21 is an anime. Forever Blue is a diving simulator. Disaster is a catastrophe sim. -
In Japan the first 50,000 people to buy a classic controller get some free Wii points. Not in Europe or America though. You don't get any with the system. Stores are not overpricing them in the US, I have no reason to believe they will in the UK. You don't get ripped off by your local newsagents when you want to put £10 on your phone just because it's a different network. This is a currency and I think it's going to be fairly priced. Just like Microsoft points and iTunes credits.

Would be nice to have some idea what features are in the magazine, and review scores for other non Nintendo games (this isn't just a review thread really) And finally Wii Play gets the score it deserves.
-
They clearly won't fit as nicely as the CG previews show them to.

Who is in control? You or your brain? <3 Karl.

Goes to show what I think of the average forumite's wit.

oh yeah. just noticed.

I think the points are priced evenly between the card and the in store cards. The only advantage to an instore card is that kids can buy it, and that it is a good gift. The advantage of buying on a credit card is you get more flexibility.. you can buy anywhere between 1000 and 5000 (in 1000 increments) so you don't have to feel pressurised into buying 2000 points if just want Mario.

My drum kit has a double cymbal. And I don't see Rolf's name being substitued by ROFL followed by his surname anywhere else in the thread. I used to say this in real life LOL. Much like these chaps:

Update: What VC games do you want?- Podcast Now Up
Nintendork replied to Conor_NE's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Putting old titles online will only cause people to spend less money on newly released Wii titles that are intended to use NintendoConnect24. Reggie has gone on record saying that games will not be changed.. he said and I quote "I want to play Kid Icarus just like it was when I was a kid". So besides the instant save feature for NES games and minor improvements in graphical output over the predated hardware. I see no reason why they would support online play. Sorry. I wanted it as much as you. -
Matt C gives it an 8 and Matt W gives it an 8. I don't see the point of this really. I really don't. Most United Kingdom residents who I know.. know Matt Casamassina by name.. They trust him and like to read his reviews. Who the hell is Matt Wales? IGN UK is the stupidest idea I've ever heard of. Also Wikipedia is wrong on this one. edit. I've just worked it out.. Newscorp (Rupert Murdoch's empire) who owns IGN is totally into brainwashing kids.. it's why they bought MySpace and why they are so possesive of a lot of teen-centric content on Sky. With release dates differing in Australia, America and the UK so much.. for Rupert to maximise his profits from the 3 respective websites he has split them up. So he can sync certain things.. I've been seeing a lot of LOST IS NOW ON SKY ONE adverts on IGN lately. Another example of how Newscorp is brainwashing you with one product into buying another Newscorp product. No doubt during the advert break for LOST there will be Times adverts and Simpsons boxsets. It makes sense, it's good capitalism. But I'm gonna stop reading IGN UK on purpose.. I want Matt C.

ROFL Harris if you will (ba da boom tchih)

Why are people (including myself but i'm making a point) posting in this shit thread. It's a little mistake.. it happens all the time. He is not obliged to sell his console. Simple as that. So this is not an amusing story. In fact considering 25,000 hicks and profiteering bastards queued up to get a PS3.. I'm hardly suprised some idiot who is new to eBay did this.
-
IGN UK = IGN, but UK servers to make it seem like it is less international and corporate right? It's the same content (says Wikipedia) but your ISP automatically routes you to IGN UK, IGN Australia, IGN US.. etc..
-
All the savings you make on paying fuck all taxes and gas money can contribute to your damned console then.

Because I am a geek but I am not that much of a geek that I will bend the rules of IRC code.
