  1. My reference to truth was to ONM who did as posted above give it 91%. It's blatantly not that good. Hell even Cube is saying he's not sure if it's worth a fiver. What games cost £5 these days? How does this compare to Sam and Max or a 4 pack of beer? IT DOESN'T.
  2. GamesTM (didn't buy it just stole their sneak peak) Resistance covermount - preview We also have reviews for GTA: Vice City Stories, Wii Sports, Medieval II: Total War, Guitar Hero II, F.E.A.R., Call Of Duty 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Tony Hawk's Project 8 and, well, a shit load more to boot. I love November! As mentioned on the forum, we have an exclusive interview with the creative minds behind Tetris, a Metal Gear Collectors' Spotlight and more. We also have previews of Blue Dragon, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., MotorStorm, Virtua Fighter 5, Virtua Tennis and more. Features wise, The Videogame Hot List looks at 20 legends of the industry and 20 names to look out for in 2007. We also interview the legend that is Sid Meier, chat with VT3's Mie Kumagai, listen to what Dr Ian Davis and Todd Howard have to say about artificial intelligence in games and, delayed by an issue, bring you the latest Bible Guide… this month to Platformers. Well, that's about all there is to cover in the sneak peek. To read why we gave GOW a 10 and why Zelda a 9 you'll just have to wait for the issue to hit the shelves this Thursday (for those who haven't subscribed yet). I don't understand why neither EDGE or GamesTM reviewed Yoshi's Island. Guess nobody sent out pre-release copies (thanks Nintendo) On another note Future lost $96m this year, well done guys.
  3. Don't make me laugh, social networking sites used to be okay for surfing for hot chicks but now they are just shit. Typical profile of a hot 6th former: I'm like a total Marxist Feminist lesbian but I still screw guys at parties. Yeah well if you knew anything you jackass you'd know Marx was a wife beater, freaking hypocrits. "OMG I HATE NIKE THEY SO CORPORIT" *puts on converse and munches on Subway*
  4. Free Wii points/selected game on Christmas Day. AMARITE (LOLLY POPS)
  5. Warped here from another dimension,
  6. Old but hey.
  7. Free: http://www.addictinggames.com/ Pool is the only thing I'm interested in.
  8. Looks pretty average, but seems to have a nice atmosphere.
  9. At last someone was honest about Wii Play. Junky piece o' crap.
  10. Because N64 games reel in the equivalent of £8, so they are a fairly decent source of revenue. Lots of people will download it (it's a classic and has aged well) so they want to drip feed us those. 1 N64 game a month is perfectly reasonable in my eyes. (and in my wallet's) For a lot of people this will be their first N64 game. Our list will mature no doubt, it's not as if you would play half of these.. but 'it's the principle' you all shout. Well whinge on.
  11. I'm glad they aren't. Tins are stupid, no way are they worth £5-10. I'd rather have something I can use.. like a OST or an artwork booklet like with Gears (minus the tin)
  12. I echo Joystiq's sentiments. I like that there are big plans to sell this game, Suda 51 is aiming for a million copies.. so assuming 10 million Wii's are sold 1 in 10 people are going to have to buy this game. I think because Wii is attracting a wider range of people.. the parents, kids, granparents that software sales will be more health on the Wii.. each person having a couple of games on top of a shared pool of games isn't going to be rare. I think it's very do-able, th egames gonna have style. The control system is make or break but part of me wants to get it just to support Suda 51's think tank of a gaming company. It might be a bit too bold, but at least it's changing genres.
  13. DVD cases are more durable, I prefer them. Nothing saying companies can't provide a slipcover if they don't like the plastic texture. I like artwork but I'd rather protect my cases and treat them like junk at the same time.
  14. It was Darthbane, so judge for yourself.. but apparently there's 400 or so extra units. Seems likely as that's nothing compared to the 5,000 units at Toys 'r' Us NYC.
  15. Score, got me some 3 point turns down this morning. Not bad. Anyone got any links to good theory test resources online? I can't be arsed to pay £20 for a set of books I'll barely read once.
  16. I've been saving it for you baby!
  17. Gonna drive around Essex with my buddy at 7am with a phone and phone book calling retailers trying to see if they can spare some stock. I've only got the cash for a Wii and perhaps 1,000 points so I'll be playing Mario 64/Wii Bowling for the first few weeks. Oh well.
  18. I can only hope Bass Fishing (or equivalent) comes out in a year or two. That's on the DS and appears to swamp both those titles. Probably would get a more refined title.. I used to go float fishing but never had the kit to go weight fishing.
  19. No, I am saying from a business point of view that they have lower standards.. and that there is a market for them at launch. Your problem is not with the developpers who make this bad game and didn't put the effort in. (so you say..) It's with the publisher who says "You will make this game in 4 months and on this (tiny) budget." The developper's hands are tied.. and they probably do their best, as it's their reputation on the line. Your argument would probably stand up on a PS3 or 360.. but the truth is, hardcore gamers like yourself have high standards.. and are going to want to play Zelda. It has swamped the launch (as Nintendo does every time I might add) and thus you have to give them a break.
  20. Is it the kiddy style one? Looks like Pokemon meets fishing. Gotta catch 'em all!
  21. Using the word appauling suggests this game has no place on the Wii. A LOT of people will get pleasure out of this if they can't fit large fishing expeditions into their life. There's another fishing game in the works which will no doubt blow this one out of the water. (bad a bum chih) But this elitist attitude that games don't have a place on Wii sucks. It got a bad review because the controls, size and corporate branding (I've actually read the review now) but that still doesn't mean people won't enjoy it. It's not made for our standards. I remember people saying similar things about this button masher.
  22. Giving them a break is buying their games when you don't want them. If you do that you're an idiot. You are not the target audience for most of these games, so get over it. I'm gonna enjoy Rabbids.. a lot of kids are gonna enjoy playing 4x4 and that other kids game.
  23. Shut up, fishing is rad. Bare people will love this, especially middle America.
  24. I'm gonna get you little fishies! OOOOOAAAAWWWWWWW!!!
