I'm now curious if the term "toast" (when some information briefly pops up) existed then or if this is just a giant coincidence.

I know you and @Glen-i are related but I didn't realise you were twins

Do you know where I can find some sailors?

I at best half succeeded at the goals from last year. My travel plans have been pushed back for a year and my contract extended for a year. Finally opening a gym this month though ... What was I saying? Oh yes. Spent a long time this year trying to find a space but finally found one and in the process of setting it all up. It won't be profitable straight away, but hopefully long term this will be some kind of financial security which I was hoping for last year. Language I failed at, really did not do much this year. I underestimated how time consuming work would be. In terms of 2025 I'm not too sure. Planning to do a review next week of gym stuff and then set gym-specific goals for the year but everything else... Just see what the year brings?

I didn't know (or had forgotten) you're down the road.

I'll respond properly but turns out the forum gets confused when the year changes. Rather than saying the latest post in a forum is X hours/days ago it says "Dec 31". Weird quirk. Anyway, it's 2025 where I am so happy new year and all that!

Suddenly I want to be a footballer if it means you only have to do one thing a week. It sounds blissful.

I stopped watching that show after a few years so had no idea she popped up in that. So she played a sister to Sofía Vergara, a cousin to Justina Machado (and Melissa Fumero) and had Gina Rodriguez as a romantic interest. I think she might be the Kevin Bacon of 2010/2020s Latina actors.

Why the hell is Alan Maddrell injuring so many pigs?

And 8 months of that was working on Waluigi.

I decided to get away from the family of it it all went I'm currently sat in a bar looking at Lake Como. My plan for tomorrow is to go for a walk around the lake and then the traditional Christmas dinner of...pasta (can't be bothered to cook much more than that). Did the family thing on Sunday which was fine but better than Christmas because I could come and go in the day (I don't drive and no local public transport 25/26th).

You mean you haven't heard?

For some people it has been, for others it's been appearing and disappearing and for some others it will randomly play very slowly.
-
If it helps, nobody believed you anyway.

Never played it but that is what I would do too. With the N64 controller rest it on your lap, hold it on the left side for support and then use two fingers on your right hand to mash the buttons. And I guess hold the controller upside down if you're left-handed.

Oh that's who it was thanks. I was thinking "who is that..." But never bothered looking it up. Once again you saved the day.

I have a way of ruining that dream if you're interested.

Maybe a simple availablity thing? I imagine most screen production is 16:9 rather than 4:3 nowadays? Or certainly at that size, I can't imagine there's much demand for 4:3.

Also if you still live in the town beginning with S that I'm thinking of it's best avoided anyway.

I wonder if this is a change in semantics over time. I could see in 2000 playing a game and entering the score (manually) online could be classed as "online play"/"online leaderboards" in that "it can't possibly get any more technologically advanced than this!" There might be other games from the time that prove me wrong, but I could see the meaning of those phrases adapting with technology. Kind of like how "high speed" internet used to mean something we'd now consider slow and thinking the N64 graphics would never be beaten.

Yes he should go for clever wordplay like naming a seal Pokémon Seel.
