I was surprised to see how much of the film wasn't scripted and how much was just entirely ad-lib. It's phenomenal how this was even accepted. I tried to watch this again a few weeks back and I still think the same thing. What damaged it's reputation even more, I thought, was the female cast going on talk shows trash-talking male fans calling them sexist because the main characters were women. Did they forget most horror movies include female heroes? Did they forget Star Wars where Rey was the lead? Alice in Resident Evil? Fact is, they just couldn't accept that people just thought it looked shit because of the story alone. Compare the CGI to the live-action Scooby Doo and they're so alike! Also, going back to the cast slating their fans and male audiences, did they forget or did not know that Janine, the original receptionist, a female, actually did a couple of Ghostbusting missions in The Real Ghostbusters and did they also forget about Kylie, a main ghostbuster in the series, also a female, in Extreme Ghostbusters? Have said it before and I'll say it again, just give me a live-action Extreme Ghostbusters, which would have actually made a perfect threequel considering it followed on. The unfortunate thing would be Egon

Yeah, it looked jittery when I was watching the stream but I thought it was just the stream itself. Still, there's plenty of time to fix it, I mean it's not coming until next year.

I have to say, I've really enjoyed Nintendo's efforts at this years Gamecom. The competition are either using this as an E3 retread or just aren't really bothering with it all. It's nice to see Nintendo treat the show, viewers and attendees with some respect. Its be great seeing footage of FIFA, Splatoon and ARMS and there's still more to come. I'm looking forward to the few indie games that are going to be shown, as well as Xenoblade 2. Using Gamescom as a mini Direct was a welcome surprise, even if I would have preferred a standard showing. Stuff like the SNES 3DS, Splatoon maps, new ARMS character, FE Warriors trailer and special edition announcements could have easily been Direct material but instead Nintendo kept these things for Gamescom week. In other news, Mario Odyssey has picked up both Game of the Show and Most Wanted Game awards.

Not gonna lie, first thing that woman reminded me of was Captain Marvel. You know, Marvel does have a medieval reality called Marvel 1066... And now I'm wondering whether Monoith would be allowed to make a game in that setting ...I honestly laughed at this.

So the demo is out now on the Japanese Switch eShop... It's a very lazy port job, more akin to Portable 3rd HD than MH3U Wii U. It's the 3DS version running in 1080p with the touch screen arts mapped to the directional buttons on the Joycons and nothing more. The textures seem to have all been redone, but outside of this and the resolution boost, the graphics are basically unchanged (no extra lighting, geometry or retouched special effects); even the HUD has been transplanted directly from the 3DS version, looking very pixelated and ropey indeed. There's also no 5.1 surround sound support, which is tremendously disappointing, especially when MH3U got such a fantastic 5.1 surround mix on Wii U. The FMV opening is also kinda low quality (certainly better than on 3DS, but definitely not at the same blu-ray movie quality as on Wii U, probably only 720p video here; again, disappointing after they really put the effort in with the Wii U remaster) Nope, the only new feature is rumble (not HD rumble mind you) and it's only used very sporadically. It's a very barebones and basic port that feels a bit rough around the edges; Capcom clearly didn't really care when they put this out. If this is indicative of their attitude towards Switch, then I wouldn't get your hopes up about future support... On the plus side, it is still Monster Hunter and thus is a great game. I'd still want an English version, but the slapdash nature of this port doesn't give me hope for Capcom's future titles on Switch...
