Owen Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 NoE: blah blah blah marketing blah blah blah touch generations blah blah blah we can't afford to hire some extra translators to get the games out quicker even though we charge around twice as much as other regions (give or take value added tax) Enough said.. don't get your hopes up. Hate to agree (because i want launch details) but theres NO-WAY IN HELL, i'm getting my hopes up anymore! I understand Nintendo has said they will talk about the Wii but it could be just announcing new games etc... I'm getting ready to hear 'We will tell you the price and launch date, at a later time'. If they say that, it's goodbye to a 2006 European launch!
fex Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 (edited) Hmm i seem to remember Nintendo talking about that they wasn't interested in a world wided release!! I hope thats not true, because they really need to get the Wii out over here ASAP. Nintendo don't screw this over! Carpe Diem (what ever is it) ________ CUMSHOT VIDEOS Edited April 28, 2011 by fex
Yoochem Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 I've found something interesting here. It's supposed to be the speech of 'the Reginnator' on sept. 14th. 99% chance of it being fake, but nevertheless still interesting. If only half of it would be true, though, it would be awesome :P Well, just check this link and see for yourself: http://www.wii60.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5137
Retro_Link Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hopefully we'll get official trailers for the launch games; Zelda, Metroid, Excitetruck etc... they should be no more than 2 months away! Launch date and pricing has got to be announced soon! Some new game announcements and updates on all the other titles; Mario, SSBB etc...

djamb3 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Just to remember that we'r almost there....
killthenet Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Well, I'm fairly confident that we'll get launch details this week. There's a lot of evidence pointing towards it. The 3 seperate press events for the 3 seperate territories; Iwata's daily "How we made the Wii" reports on the Japanese Nintendo site, which presumably finish on Thursday... and the lack of sand that's left in the metaphorical timer. You may aswell get your hopes up. Or else we'll get them up for you!
DiemetriX Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 The only think I want is a remake of the Redsteel trailer
mike-zim Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 What time is it on the 15th? i need to know please
Owen Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Well i'm looking forward to thursdays conference as well, because new games could be announced there (which will obviously come out in Europe) so it's very exciting! BRING ON Thursday and Friday! I like to know the times of the conference as well!
Twilight Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I like to know the times of the conference as well! New York event is 10am-4pm local time and London one is 12pm-6pm local time (which is obviously GMT). Those times are from Nintendo´s invitation tickets. No information avaible about the Japanese event.

ViPeR Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Well they're 5 hours behind us so we shouldn't have to have any waiting up (unless you go bed before midnight) to do.

Cleveland_Jr Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 12:00:00 Midnight Saturday September 16, 2006 in Australia/Melbourne *note to self, cancel all appointments on saturday*
Charlie Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Thanks! So the New York event? What time is that in GMT? We're in BST at the moment
canand Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 We're in BST at the moment so it be at 2am for us at night time 10:00:00 a.m. Thursday September 14, 2006 in US/Pacific converts to 05:00:00 p.m. Thursday September 14, 2006 in GMT
Pestneb Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 New York event is 10am-4pm local time and London one is 12pm-6pm local time so from a UK point of view Thursday 2pm-8pm (US) Friday 12pm-6pm (UK) with Japan some point between Wednesday 1500 and Thursday 1400 are those times a range of the time they can start, or will they both be 6 hours long???
Owen Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Thanks Pestneb! I get that! So i have to be here waiting for the USA event to start at 5pm!
Librarian Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 "Dear nintendo community, we are sorry to inform you that the launch of the wii has been delayed until april 2007.. but be sure to check out our great titles for the GameCube and Nintendo DS"... you heard it here first!!!
Ashley Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Wait so what time is the UK conference on Friday? Cause I got work at 1.
mike-zim Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 15:00 in the uk as 10:00 add 5 hours is 15:00. so it ties in nicely imo. thursday 3pm - 9pm then we get a good nights sleep and Friday 12:00 to 18:00 we find out what it all means in Europe. excellent.
Pestneb Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 just checked that link above, apparently NY has daylight saving? so it'll actually be 1400, not 1500 "Daylight Saving Time is in effect on this date/time in America/New_York Daylight Saving Time is not in effect on this date/time in GMT " ofcourse that relies on that website being reliable
knightendo Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 this is all sounding very complicated lol! but thanks pestneb for the times, 2pm thursday it is . anyone know of any live feeds yet...?
