EEVILMURRAY Posted April 6 Posted April 6 The missus wanted the piranha plant one for her birthday so I was primed to order from the Lego site closer to the time. However recently shopping in B&M for paint found it there for under £50. So sorted nice n easy

My mate got a lot of his Star Wars diorama sets from there.
Happenstance Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Apparently the rumoured Star Trek Lego set coming this year on Black Friday will be the Enterprise D. Very tempted to get it but I have no idea where I would be able to display it. 2
BowserBasher Posted April 12 Posted April 12 finally got around to building the McLaren MP4/4. Amazing set, looks gorgeous, nice site and the best thing is that when it's sitting on the floor there is, like a real F1 car, just a slight gap between the bottom and the floor. As stated in the instruction book, they designed the chassis that has a a ground clearance of just two lego plates.
Julius Posted April 18 Posted April 18 The UCS Jango's Starship got announced the other day, and while it looks great, well...
MindFreak Posted May 3 Posted May 3 My son (8 yo) has for the better part of a year been saving his allowance (about £2 a week) to buy LEGO Optimus Prime. I don't know why he was so determined about that piece but it is quite cool to look at. Now, last weekend he finally bought it and has now finished building it. He wants to play with it now and keeps transforming it from truck to robot and back but every time he does that, it breaks. Something breaks off of it. I have tried to fix it a bit but can't make it sturdier - it's especially in the torso region it breaks apart. It's crushing him, he gets so angry every time it happens. It's made me think why we actually buy these sets in the first place. For me, it's building them. For my son, it's both building and playing but he would for the most part be better off just getting an action figure instead and then just play with un-assembled Lego pieces. My wife then suggested a Lego library. Where one can borrow a piece, build it, disassemble it again and then return it. Not that bad of an idea but I would assume that too many pieces would go missing.

Some people have fixed it by rebuilding as some pegs were off. But it seems that it may be an issues with the build itself.
Julius Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Spent my Saturday around a mate's helping him build the Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City set (76271)... Took the three of us from like 15:00 until 23:00 (varying degrees of exposure to LEGO), but it was well worth it, it really is such a lovely set! Would love to see something similar for Star Wars, I wouldn't be able to resist (ahem, Andor) Edited May 18 by Julius 3
