Mr-Paul Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 It is a problem that I believe that is currently in the process of being sorted.
Fresh Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Is it just me? Both the main site and the forum sometimes just decide they don't want to be on this site anymore and suddenly redirect me to some porn site (I dunno if it is, I press back before it fully loads but it has girls looking "sexy" on either side) and also occasionally a disembodied voice starts talking to me about products when I'm on this site but there are no open ads or anything it is coming from? I've passed that on to the staff, thanks for the message!
Diageo Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Wow Hamish, looks like you've got a ghost. I've never had that happen.
Shorty Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Is that problem still happening? I thought we had solved that.
Ashley Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 We've been having issues but they should be solved. Hamish try refreshing the cache (ctrl + f5 on windows) and see if it still happens.
Hamishmash Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I've done that and I've not experience it since. It did happen again just before I did it though.
killthenet Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Have also been having this problem, happens on Chrome on both my Mac and my laptop. Will try refreshing the cache, thanks.
Fused King Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Could someone tell me what the deal is with canand?
Captain Falcon Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I've had the redirects to sites of questionable taste when using both FireFox and the stock Android Browser. Also, sometimes, in the bar that tells you to register because you aren't logged in, there is a link in there to flash games site.
Shorty Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 You people have browser caches like fort knox. All this stuff was fixed ages ago. If you want to make it go away, refresh your browser cache. On Windows, with any browser, that's ctrl+f5
Wesley Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Is there now image adverts on this forum or something? I couldn't work out whether it was the forum or just the image hosting service. I should investigate rather than just ask here, I suppose. But I'm lazy.
Goafer Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Is there now image adverts on this forum or something? I couldn't work out whether it was the forum or just the image hosting service. I should investigate rather than just ask here, I suppose. But I'm lazy. I'm getting them too. I wish I could go anywhere on the internet without adverts getting in the way of things. I don't mind ads, but the ones that intentionally get in the way/cover up what I want to see piss me off.
The Peeps Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 I had them and then realised I had adblock turned off. It's on now, thanks Firefox (no more ads)
Ashley Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 (edited) Please can people inform us of what they're seeing, where they're seeing it, when they're seeing it and if it later disappears. We are working on fixing it but as this doesn't affect everyone we can't tell if its been fixed and your post is old or if you're still experiencing issues. Screencaps would also help greatly. Also if its on the forum can you let us know which scheme you're using please. I had them and then realised I had adblock turned off. It's on now, thanks Firefox (no more ads) You know ads are how we finance this site right? :p (and these particular ones aren't supposed to be there) Edited July 24, 2011 by Ashley
ReZourceman Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Please can people inform us of what they're seeing, where they're seeing it, when they're seeing it and if it later disappears. I was intermittently seeing it, maybe every 0.33 of a second, for about 10 minutes, but after he ejaculated it went away.
Wesley Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I first noticed it in the Rummylicious thread. But now the majority of images in that thread are just broken links. But I did see some in another thread. I remember checking the URL (I thought it was just one provider doing it in some code) and both Photobucket and ImageShack images had them. I'll keep an eye out if I see any others.
gmac Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I'm seeing it in the top of the page and inserting itself in some peoples signatures
Eenuh Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I get the ads as well and they're just reallllly annoying. Here's two screencaps. Seems to happen on most signatures, but not all. Plus the main header has it too. I think it's a Photobucket thing... I just uploaded these screencaps on there and now I get the ads on them too.
