Noodleman Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Am I the only one who disliked Pan's Labyrinth? Hopefully although i'm sure there are more you
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Am I the only one who disliked Pan's Labyrinth? Why did you dislike it?
Slaggis Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Cruel Intentions I always enjoy watching this. It's obviously not the best film in the world, but it's a laugh to watch. We sat down to watch it in Pyschology, and the teacher had no idea what te content was like. Her face was priceless. Some of the witty remarks always make me laugh, and I love the ending. When she steps outside and the verve kick in. I always end up saying something like "Ha! Serves the bitch right!". Sarah Millchelle Gellar manages to looks amazingy sexual (best words I could think of, I would have said "hot", but that just doesn't describe how amazing she looks) throughout the movie, and Ryan Phillipe doesn't look bad either. Anyway, it's always been an enjoyable movie for me so I'll give it: 7.3/10
Pete Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Finally saw the big, FUN! no brainer film that is Transformers. I thought the pacing was a little odd for this type of film at times but It 'did exactly wht it said on the tin'(lol) and how! loads of fun. 8.5/10
Jimbob Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Die Hard Brilliant first installment that made Bruce Willis. It is also a perfect Christmas movie as this movie is set around Christmas at the Nakatomi Plaza. Brilliant action and explosive scenes. 10/10 because it is that good.
Zell Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Die Hard and Terminator are on! Which one do I watch?
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Die Hard and Terminator are on! Which one do I watch? Terminator! Obviously! ALSO Paprika Satoshi Kon is turning into one of the most interesting directors out there. Very good free-interpretation piece. Oh, and to who's seen the film: I was surprised to see that most people didn't get the whole purpose of the movie. Like, people think that reality and dreams merged in that one scene.. when it's pretty clear that what Satoshi is trying to say is that everybody is dreaming. And when everybody is dreaming the same dream... it's like reality doesn't even exist, because there's nobody in the "real world" to make it a reality. Anyway, as expected, was good, gotta see this movie drunk. Millenium Actress is still Satoshi Kon's best movie, though. =D 7.5/10
weeyellowbloke Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Die Hard Brilliant first installment that made Bruce Willis. It is also a perfect Christmas movie as this movie is set around Christmas at the Nakatomi Plaza. Brilliant action and explosive scenes. 10/10 because it is that good. Gah, yesterday when trying to choose some perfect traditional christmas films I suggested Die Hard. She said it wasn't christmassy and was just a stupid action movie. Instead we have The Santa Clause and White Christmas.
Zell Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Well I ended up seeing Die Hard, I'll rate both anyway. Die Hard 9/10 The Terminator... scores of 9 and 10 were considered, and after much thought it was decided that it was worthy of a 10. 10/10
welsh_gamer Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 The Lord of the Rings trilogy (Extended editions) Been watching them over the last 4 days. Lots of fun! Fellowship of the Ring 8/10 The Two Towers 10/10 Return of the King 10/10 (I know I should take a point off due to the never-ending ending, but I still love it!)
Bluejay Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Watched Die Hard last night. It was a fun movie. Will watch number 2 tonight.
Slaggis Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Home Alone I got bored. I used to love this when was younger, but now it's a little boring. It just takes way to long to get to the good stuff. The first hour made me want to fall asleep on the person next to me. When it got to the good stuff, it's a fun little movie, but until then, it's a bit crap. 5.9/10
ReZourceman Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 The Two Towers 10/10 If thats what you're into.
Cube Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 If thats what you're into. It deserves that score. I'd give The Fellowship of the Ring a 10/10 too.
Slaggis Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 It deserves that score. I'd give The Fellowship of the Ring a 10/10 too. I wouldn't say it deserves a 10. They are brilliant movies, but I don't see them as "perfect" movies. They were incredible to watch in the cinema though.
Tellyn Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 The Golden Compass 8 out of 10 owners said their cats preferred it.
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 The Golden Compass 8 out of 10 owners said their cats preferred it. If that's a joke, you rock, If it was just a funny way of saing you liked it, you should die. And pain should be inflicted upon you. ALSO The Lord Of The Rings should be seen as one film, not three different movies. I rate them 9.5/10.
Noodleman Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 It deserves that score. I'd give The Fellowship of the Ring a 10/10 too. It doesnt deserve that, its far from perfect you may give it 10/10 but that means you are putting on a par with some amazing films that it just can never compare to.
welsh_gamer Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 It deserves that score. I'd give The Fellowship of the Ring a 10/10 too. Fellowship isn't as watchable as the others in my opinion, especially if you are re-watching it for the 10th time say! Plus the extended and new scene's aren't a patch on those included in the other 2 films. The Lord Of The Rings should be seen as one film, not three different movies.I rate them 9.5/10. As one whole film I would probably give it that score too
Cube Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 It doesnt deserve that, its far from perfect you may give it 10/10 but that means you are putting on a par with some amazing films that it just can never compare to. By 10/10 I generally mean 9.5+/10. And what would these films that it can never compare to be?
Tellyn Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Out of the many films that I have seen, none can compare to the epic fantasticness of the LOTR trilogy. If that's a joke, you rock, If it was just a funny way of saing you liked it, you should die. And pain should be inflicted upon you. Thanks.
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 By 10/10 I generally mean 9.5+/10.
