Seriously, I can't honestly think why that restriction is there though, because you can actually share unconverted replays of custom stages online and on social media anyway. (I'm Villager) Absolutely hilarious! A beautiful combination of me getting screwed over by my own custom stage (falling through the moustache ) and completely sucking with Pokémon Trainer. The bowling ball attack was the icing on the already delicious Smash Bros. cake! BTW, that little hiding place I was struggling to get into (between Wario's nose and stache) is great for avoiding conflict in Sudden Deaths. Haven't played Smash that much, and definitely not in parties with custom stages so this was a proper introduction to N-E Smash games!
