Charlie Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 It's cringe-worthy from both sides, tbh. We've got no excuse turning up late for a match AGAIN! All of this could have been avoided had we turned up on time. Still, it's terrible to see. Hope nobody is hurt. The fans who attacked the bus have absolutely no excuses. Regardless of when the bus turned up it should be safe. I was metres away from the Atletico team bus when it was attacked when it turned up for their game against Valencia. It was actually quite scary. One moment the crowd was loving it and then in the blink of an eye it turned incredibly hostile, bottles and cans were being launched at the bus. The police on horses pushed the entire crowd back and there was a huge crush. We got lifted off our feet. Moments later the whole thing passed and the carnival atmosphere was back.
Clownferret Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 There appeared to be a lot of cameras last night so the West Ham fans who were vandalising the coach can expect lifetime bans at best and quite possibly arrests and prosecution. And what was that prat Sullivan on about saying there wasn't any damage.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Great performance by Sunderland tonight. Congrats on another season in the PL. Everton were absolutely awful again. That team has just fallen apart.

Fierce_LiNk Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 As already mentioned by @Ashley, we've lost one of our own today as MadDog has passed away. He was one of the regulars in here and next season won't be the same without seeing his name or avatar popping up. Rest In Peace.

Anyone fancy doing quids in Fantasy Football next season but donating the proceeds to Cancer Research? Name the league in his honour? Or sweep stake for the Europa League Final, we all chuck a quid in for each Liverpool goal?

Or sweep stake for the Europa League Final, we all chuck a quid in for each Liverpool goal? Yeah, would definitely be up for doing something.
Ashley Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 As I mentioned in the thread about him, I'm going to contact his family and see where they'd like any raised funds to go, but we'll certainly do something. Will update in the thread.
killthenet Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Championship play offs have been a bit more one sided than we'd hoped. Sheffield Wednesday beating Brighton 2-0 at Hillsborough last night, and Hull took their chances well to beat Derby 3-0 at the ipro earlier today. Was hoping for Derby to reach the final, but it doesn't look good for them now. With Brighton, i'd expected them to lose to Wednesday over the two legs, but thought it would be a bit closer than the first leg turned out to be. It's strange how the team who finish 3rd in the Championship and just miss out on automatic promotion tend to struggle in the play offs, especially so this season with the form Brighton had been in over the last few games. They certainly don't have luck on their side though, they lost 4 players to injury in last nights game.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Spurs have completely fallen apart! The Toon are running riot and with only 10 men!
dan-likes-trees Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Spurs have completely fallen apart! The Toon are running riot and with only 10 men! Sissoko pulled off a shocker of a dive to win the penalty for 3-1 that put us out of the running to be fair but still.. abysmal, embarrassing, didn't think we'd fall apart in quite the style that we have since the Chavs game. Surely Newcastle would've been nailed on to stay up if Rapha came in sooner? Knew Townsend would flash back to his 2014 form for this one..
Mr-Paul Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Hey @dazzybee - remember when we met I said I was confident we'd catch you?
Fierce_LiNk Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 So...*ahem*...as I was saying, Spurs are definitely the best footballing side in the league.
ipaul Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 GET REKT YOU SPURRRRSSSSS Best footballing side in the league conceded 3 against 10 men relegated Newcastle.
