Nintendo Account is an all-encompassing account that connects to their web portals (such as My Nintendo, official sites), their mobile titles and now the Switch. Nintendo Network ID was an ID that was required to connect to the online features of the Wii U and 3DS, but can be used to connect to Nintendo account if linked. It is no longer used on new devices/formats. Not that confusing Ok so NNID will start being fazed out, and your Nintendo Account is going to be used from now on. Got it. I have now created a Nintendo account and registered ID. I already have an NNID, and when I logged in with my NNID I am greeted with an account (so I assume that there is an account there, and this is linked to my NNID which is why I couldn't assign my NNID to the Nintendo account I just created). Not sure what I'll need to log in on Switch. Do we know if it's the User ID that is the thing other people will see/contact you with? This is rather confusing - one tag for everything would be perfect! Yeah, your NNID is already linked to a Nintendo Account you made so you're all set. Log into Switch with that (and you probably will with your NNID). User ID is what you need to log in, but your nickname is what people will see. Posted February 21, 2017 Thanks, got it now. For some reason I thought you needed to create a Nintendo account to be able to use the services on the Switch. Didn't realise if you already had an NNID then you already had an account. It does ask you to change your password though if all you had was an NNID before it lets you register a user ID. Posted February 21, 2017 Figured it out now. It just asks for a password because you haven't set a password to the Nintendo ID yet. So when I did that, it all went smoothly. Posted February 21, 2017 Has anyone who ordered the Switch and Zelda bundle from GAME had confirmation that they'll receive it at launch yet? I tried asking on online chat a couple of weeks ago but they said they didn't have numbers yet. :/ Has there been any information for you regarding this yet? If my Switch isn't out for delivery by 9am on Switchmas, I'll go to GAME and get the one pre-ordered there, and then resell the second one.
