The Bard Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 It's amazing how a lot of you guys' favourite words have internal alliterated cadences and a musicality in the patterns, which is what seems to determine why you like them, rather than any semantic reasons. Which is heartening, since I think it's the same for most people. But on the other hand, it's baffling how few people have time for poetry, or seem to think it's boring, when really all it is is a heightened attention to and exploration of the musical aesthetic and flow in words. I just chose something from the plethora of songs I enjoy that I also feel have a good burst of energy to them. Favourite Words: Irony Love Capricious Mediocre Glacial Most coveted thing - Abstract Thought about saying something that could actually have occurred, like linguistic or musical abilities or a particular personality trait but fuck it: I want to be able to fly. Real Bang and Olufsen television would be pretty sweet. If I had answered this on another day the response might well have been completely different but there we are.
