flameboy Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Drive Club looks like not being a launch title so think of this as a Prologue version like GT.
bryanee Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Drive Club looks like not being a launch title so think of this as a Prologue version like GT. It was confirmed for launch. Just pre-ordered KZ AC4 Watch Dogs Fifa BF4 NFS Might get Knack and COD towards the end of the year.
drahkon Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Just pre-ordered KZ AC4 Watch Dogs Fifa BF4 NFS Are you fucking rich?
bryanee Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) I've been saving since February, I'll have more than enough. Just need the willpower to not touch it. I was clicking all these pre-orders on shopto. I checked the price after I had finished and it was over a grand, I said "what the fuck that isn't right". I forgot to cancel my Xbox One pre-order, now that's gone the total price looks much better. Edited June 16, 2013 by bryanee
Cube Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I think perhaps Killzone, Battlefield and Watch_Dogs, with Knack and Assassin's Creed 4 when they're cheaper.
Caris Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 (edited) My local Blockbuster has 15 pre orders for the Xbox One and 9 for the PS4, genuinely shocked. Edited June 15, 2013 by Caris

Cube Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 At the ratio or that Blockbusters are still open? They won't be open much longer if their customers buy the Xbox One.
Daft Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I'd be surprised if Microsoft could fulfil that many pre-orders. Rumblings are they are having serious manufacturing issues and allocation, in America at least, reflects that.

It was confirmed for launch.Just pre-ordered KZ AC4 Watch Dogs Fifa BF4 NFS Might get Knack and COD towards the end of the year. The Plus Edition was confirmed for launch...no word on the actual version. If I manage to rustle together the money it will be Killzone, Watch Dogs and FIFA.

If I manage to rustle together the money it will be Killzone, Watch Dogs and FIFA. They said during the conference that KZ, Knack and Drive Club were all day one, they didn't specify DC being the plus edition when they said that.
Caris Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Who on earth pre-orders console hardware at Blockbusters? My local store is actually decent, huge and all they pretty much sell is games. I remember buying ex rental SNES games many years ago
LegoMan1031 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I'm hoping Sony confirm the prices for PS4 games as pretty much the same as current gen as Microsoft have done today. Interested to know when the console will actually be released as well, I am assuming November sometime?

Current rumours are pinning it down as an October release, which would be even sweeter and give them a month head start against Microsoft.
Daft Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Release it on the 18th of October. I'd have the best birthday ever.
Happenstance Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Current rumours are pinning it down as an October release, which would be even sweeter and give them a month head start against Microsoft. Rumour I read this morning was release on the 21st of November so who knows at this point. Too many rumours going around that are really just guesses.
Hero-of-Time Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Rumour I read this morning was release on the 21st of November so who knows at this point. Too many rumours going around that are really just guesses. Indeed. I'm still hoping for a October release though. A lower price point + a months head start = Audio
Happenstance Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Oh yeah the quicker I can get my hands on it the better.
LegoMan1031 Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Part of me was thinking 'wouldn't it be cool to buy this for myself as a Christmas present... I thought that for the Wii U and I didn't hold out at all! Haha
jayseven Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Hypothetical situation; I buy a PS3 near the launch of the PS4. I get a PS+ subscription. How long will the console be supported for, in terms of new free games monthly, etc? If the same subscription works for PS3 and PS4, does it mean I could log on to a PS4 and access the console-specific content? Just wondering, because I won't be able to afford a PS4 for a fair old while and figure it could be a good time to access a new set of games. I know the PS3 will continue to be supported for ages in terms of new games but that's irrelevant to me. I'm just curious about what the PS+ service would offer for both consoles whilst they're both running at the same time.
Happenstance Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 PlayStation 4 won't need PS Plus for auto-updates, media, social PlayStation 4 users will not require a PlayStation Plus subscription to use auto-update, media and social features. Sony has detailed the changes to the service that will be made upon the introduction of its next-generation console. It was revealed at E3 that players would require PS Plus subscriptions for online multiplayer. "It is time to charge, but it is time to charge and still continue to deliver phenomenal value," SCEE UK and Ireland MD Fergal Gara told VideoGamer. "A PlayStation Plus subscriber for PlayStation 4 comes away with a hell of a lot. First of all, the subscription applies across all three platforms [PS4, PS3 and PS Vita], so if you have the three platforms then you have an instant game collection on all three. So that's hugely powerful in its own right. "If you choose not to subscribe we are still gating relatively little in many senses, so access to online catch-up TV and online movie services sit outside of the gate, for example. The social features of PS4 and PS4 games sit out of the subscription service. "Things like auto-updates on PS4 sit outside of PlayStation Plus, so we're trying to be as balanced and as fair as we possibly can." http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a490891/playstation-4-wont-need-ps-plus-for-auto-updates-media-social.html We already knew about the media stuff still being outside of PS+ but its nice to see that they've moved the auto-updates for everyone as well now. That feature was one of my favourites from PS+, just letting my PS3 update during set hours during the night while I was sleeping.
Daft Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I know E3 is over but this is weird enough to warrant posting.
LegoMan1031 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Wish the Duelshock 4 would go down cheaper than £50... Would want to pick up a second one but that is a lot of extra money before I even get any games! lol.
