nicolasmasset Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Kudos to those fast Ign forum dudes for this find! http://joystiq.com/2006/01/06/revolution-controller-inspires-3rd-party-ps2-controller/ It surely doesn't have the amazing functionality of the rev controller, but still, this just goes to show that even third parties acknowledge that Nintendo REALLY is the world's best innovator in videogames. BTW: Check out the one hour Nintendo documentary in the retro gaming board!
Shino Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 It looks like a toy, it's probablye for a kiddie console.
DCK Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 It's nothing official, and if it becomes official, Nintendo will have an army of lawyers smacking it down.
pedrocasilva Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 It's nothing official, and if it becomes official, Nintendo will have an army of lawyers smacking it down.let's send some threats and spam by mail to those f*ckers! they'll be sorry. ^_^ anyway... this is realy "LOW" bussiness... what will they do next? copy the controller for PS3?
jakeee Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 The thing at the right side of the picture looks like a controller for a kiddie console! j/k That 3rd party controller doesn't look really comfortable
Kurtle Squad Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 They wouldnt need 2 analogue sticks!!!...BAKA!!!
Shorty Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 You guys do realise its not a new controller, just the traditional dual shock in two pieces. So yes, they would need two analogue sticks Kurt.
triforcemario Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Yes, I realised that, but, nevertheless, it is fecking ugly.
triforcemario Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Thats pad looks more ugly and unconfortable than the original Xbox one.
James McGeachie Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I can't help but feel I want to get a hold of that PS2 controller to see how it works.
djamb3 Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 OMFG.....Why did they make this??? What's the reason? To irritate Ninty? Or they have just fell in love with the controller and didn't want to see their beloved PS2's a lot of steps back? No...I can't understand why....
zoramon089 Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 You guys do realise its not a new controller, just the traditional dual shock in two pieces. So yes, they would need two analogue sticks Kurt. Um, one of them is a laser pointer though. 2 analog sticks is unnecassary...
Marshmellow Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 its disgusting, ugly, retarded and will never happen
DCK Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 anyway... this is realy "LOW" bussiness... what will they do next? copy the controller for PS3? OMFGG!!!
Marshmellow Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 i like how the "N" hangs off the controller...
The3rdChildren Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Probably doesn't have the same functionality as the Revolution controller. I'd assume it's for a specific game, possibly a mech game or some kind of deluxe fishing adventure. The controller idea was going to be copied eventually anyway, so may as well get used to this kind of thing from now on.
Domstercool Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Atleast it's not actually made by Sony, it's a 3rd party controller that no one will buy
Tyson Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 It's still made by a company that, seemingly, plans to make profit off it, so Nintendo should have some kind of lawsuit.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 OMG SONY SUX 4 DOIN DIS. On a more serious note- if the controller works, why can't Sony use it? It'll just mean more interesting games.
Tyson Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Because they'll get bad press for copying Nintendo (hopefully).
AshMat Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 jsut reading, it's 3rd party so sony can't be sued..
