Enigma
It just goes to show how pathetic Sony really is. They can´t do anything on their own so when someone (usually Nintendo) comes up with something they instantly copy it. And in this case, they let a 3rd party do it so they´ll take the blame instead. Just my two cents, now if sony copy's it and makes it a standard in one of her consoles...I hope they get a lawsuit.

ViPeR
I can't see Sony or Microsoft copying it until at least next gen. Even if they do Nintendo are still one gen ahead. The revolution isn't just intended for Nintendo alone, it's the industry as a whole. This can only be good news if they think it's the new way to play. pedrocasilva
It wouldn´t surprise me one bit.still, it's diferent than putting Sony brandmark in there... sony should stop that controller from happening, by contacting the manufacters... I doubt they will, that's already a misstep for them, but ordering for a cheap controller like that to be made...I can't see Sony or Microsoft copying it until at least next gen. Even if they do Nintendo are still one gen ahead. The revolution isn't just intended for Nintendo alone, it's the industry as a whole. This can only be good news if they think it's the new way to play.Microsoft even kind of said good things about the controller, so I guess they respect it, now sony... I have my doubts, anyway, when nintendo says industry standard is like saying "those bastards will copy us, again" it's not like they want it to happen (to be standard). nintendo is trying to revolutionize the industry for herself, and alone, otherwise they would contact Sony and M$ and give them the controller. True, they are still a business and need to guarantee sales. Giving the competitors thier ideas would just be stupid. They know it'll be copied if it sells, I guess they're just delaying the inevitable by having a slow release of information. We still don't know what the other revolutionary feature is and considering we've already heard about the controller it must be something much more outstanding. BlueStar
However the revo controller is remarkably similar to this, http://www.gamesindustry.biz/news.php?aid=8294 , revealed months and months before Nintendo first announced their "revolution" in control

Innovance
Because that was when Gyrations took their motion sensing technology to nintendo, and nintendo proceeded to invest in the company. Further more nintendo didnt create the controller the morning before TGS

The Revolution is motion and positioning sensing.

If that's true they are really going after the quick buck
goku21
The copie is crap! Laserpointer! P.S.:Revmote doesn´t use gyroscopic tech only , it kind of analyses the move in realtime. Other way it,couldnt be so precisely like said about it.
King_Mushroom
considering Rev uses true motion capture, as aposed to the age old 'laser' system i hardly consider this to be an innovation at all. I may have incredible faith in nintendo but there controller will be quality and smooth as butter to handle. This will hardly/ have (if any)integrated software support and will fail miserably. Bad news for Nintendo i guess, Sony fanboys wil get there hands on precious Nintendo goodness. Theyre very real and theyve been around for some time now. My sister bought me one that played 100 NES games, including duck hunt and super mario bros and what struck me was that it was obviously pirated, yet they were being sold in a kiosk right in the middle of the mall. On the bright side, the pirate controllers are incredibly ugly and unappealing to anyone thats not a die-hard Nintendo fan and alot of the games didnt even work. mike-zim
this is tacky. so it is right up sony's ally. oh well good luck to them. i hope they make thousands of them get sued for damages have to withdraw them and loose a shed load of cash. that'll teach em.
