This game looks awesome, I'd definitely be picking it up on day 1...

But it seems Nintendo's brilliant release scheduling is in full effect once more. :indeed:

A whole week after Monster Hunter, ey? Yeah... Nice one. :indeed:

I wonder what else you can cram into March? :indeed:

Oh well, this'll be a good game to save for any future software droughts, and I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a few of those over the Wii U's lifespan. :hmm:

I did the same only with Zavvi - the deal ended very quickly and looks like The Hut has done the same.

Zavvi and The Hut are the same place.

Aye I know, they did the deal on different days though. On the new trailers they show the game contained in a cardboard box, guessing it contains the pre-order figure... hope we get this too and not just the figure in a plastic bag tapped to the case or something.

LEGO City Undercover - more details

- famous landmarks, bridges and locales are very much inspired by places from San Francisco and New York

- steal cars from other people in the city

- one disguise gives you a grappling gun that you can fire in short bursts

- perform wall-jumps, wall-running and vaulting

- all this is done by pressing the same button in context-sensitive situations

- follow white-and-blue blocks to hunt down new areas to access

- if you break items and they can't be rebuilt, you'll most likely obtain Super Bricks

- these contribute to building other things, such as pads capable of summoning vehicles - act 2 involves a mission to infiltrate a criminal organization by committing crimes

- use your police audio scanner find bad guy activity

- this is done by moving the GamePad around in real life, looking out for enemies and their conversations

- listen in on random civilian conversations as well

- eventually join up with a mobster named Chan

- he has you distracting guards by finding the necessary items to start a nearby party

- this involves stealing an expensive car and eventually escorting a VIP to a nearby event

- this accounts for approximately one percent of the game

- there is a quick travel system via Lego City's subways

Wii U - LEGO City: Undercover Trailer

Lego City Undercover Will Not Feature Multiplayer

If you were hoping you’d be able to explore the open world of Lego City with a friend or two in Lego City Undercover, don’t hold your breath. TT Games has confirmed via the game’s official site that it will not feature multiplayer in either local or online forms. To put it another way, the game is listed as supporting a single player only, which would seem to rule out multiplayer support, making it the first Nintendo-published title on Wii U not to support multiple players.

While not too surprising given the way the game revolves around the Wii U GamePad, it’s a first for the Lego console series, which has been well-known for its drop-in, drop-out cooperative multiplayer.

I was not expecting this to be multiplayer in the slightest, the fact that neither TT Games or Nintendo haven't stated it will be at all over the last year, and the fact that it's not multiplayer doesn't quench my thirst for this game. This will be mine, and I'm really looking forward to some hot Chase McCain action.

Good, I'd much rather have a more polished single-player adventure than something that's dragged down on a technical level by co-op introduced at the last minute as an afterthought.

Instead it would be a good idea to see how this game does - probably really well - and then think about adding in co-op properly for the possible sequel, that would be the most sensible option.

Either that or keep it as an all-absorbing single player series, quite honestly though I'm happy that we're getting just the one game and I consider the 3DS prequel to be a very nice bonus. :)

Agreed.

I personally don't think every game needs multi-player. I like the inclusion of multi-player when it fits, but surely there should still be a place in gaming for the epic and absorbing single player quest?

I feel a lot of the time publishers almost have a check list for games and they go down the list ticking all the boxes - one of which is multi-player.

Can't wait for this. It's coming across as a superb title. An exclusive, vast single player game is just what the Wii U needs. The Miiverse should be hilarious for this too. :D

Is it a Wii U exclusive/timed exclusive?

It's exclusive. It's published by Nintendo.

Nintendo threw some funding into it, and it has heavy GamePad use

Yup, good. Nothing wrong with single player focus; it's almost a niche market these days. You don't want people bothering you when you get involved with a good book or film, which is why this online multiplayer/co-op rumour for the next Zelda has got me worried.

Damn, would've thought it'd be multiplayer looking at all the other LEGO games.

Still this will undoubtedly be a solid singleplayer experience!

Would love a WiiU bundle with this game.

People want exciting new games on their Wii U and this looks like it'll be a blast!

Luigi's Mansion 2 won't affect the sales of this game, besides they're on different platforms.
