Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 That time of year is approaching again...halloween What are all you guys going as? I'm trying so hard to work out a costume for it but I just can't decide on one Was originally thinking about going as The Count from Sesame Street, but the costume is a bit too big for me so I'd be swimming in it, plus it's £50 for a one-time use costume. So now, I'm stuck
Cube Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'll be sitting at home with the lights off (it's a flat above a shop so I won't get anyone anyway) probably playing Uncharted 3 with my headphones on full blast.
Murr Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'm missing Halloween and Bonfire night this year, as I'll be on holidays. previous years though I've just attended house parties and dressed as a devil as it's the only costume i've ever gone and bought for Halloween (baring one work party as a chainsaw murderer guy, oh and one were we dressed up as celebrities if they had died.), although this year I did invest in a jack skelington outfit for my girlfriends birthday night out. so that will be my ongoing halloween costume now. Chainsaw murder guy - Devil 1 year - Devil next year - dead celebrity Slash - Future costume - oh and I've been a turtle one year too... In short, I love Halloween and am disappointed to be missing out on it this year, but I'd gladly take a fortnight in Mauritius in place of a Halloween party
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 I've had some pretty badass costumes in the past, which is why I need to get a great one this year. Here's what I have ad Mad Scientist in 2010 V in 2008 A knight Also went as "GI Joe" at one point I just don't know. I have been considering going as Ash but it's a bit tricky to get all the right stuff and could get rather costly. Got less than two weeks to sort out a costume as the party is on the 29th
Ramar Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 [The picture was taken the Christmas my friend gave me the suit, so excuse the Christmas decorations in the background] Went to a gig in it, which was terrible because there's no front zip. Going for piss became a strip tease. This year I'm going to a gig on the 30th, I might dress up but I've got nothing in mind.
Murr Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 @Serebii Gotta say the mad scientist is a good idea! Guess you're avoiding the traditional zombie type thing this year? @Ramar that is a bad ass costume, did you rent that or buy it?
Ramar Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 My best friend bought me it for Christmas a few years back.
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 @Murr Yeah, it went down well but I don't really want to repeat a costume :/ Yeah I'm avoiding the Zombie, I don't really want to put too much crap on my face...it's like vandalising a work of art :p
The Lillster Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I don't know if you can class it as a Halloween costume; but this year I'm going as Deadmau5.
Frank Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I want to dress up as a waiter. For the lolz :p I always seem to attract the odd balls whenever I'm working so...why not? That, or I'd love to be some hybrid of Andy Warhol / Salvador Dali. Even go as far as to die my hair ; GREY
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 I actually think I will go for the count...my brother owes me £50 so I'll just use that on it
Iun Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 [The picture was taken the Christmas my friend gave me the suit, so excuse the Christmas decorations in the background] Went to a gig in it, which was terrible because there's no front zip. Add a dog collar to it and you could go as the Kink Ranger.
Magnus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I just don't know. I have been considering going as Ash but it's a bit tricky to get all the right stuff and could get rather costly. Yeah, I was going to say that I was disappointed by the lack of Ash Ketchum in your pictures. You should look at his outfit as an investment. You know you'd wear it all the time.
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Yeah, I was going to say that I was disappointed by the lack of Ash Ketchum in your pictures. You should look at his outfit as an investment. You know you'd wear it all the time. As I said, too costly (and a bit on the nose :P) Would have to go classic Ash for people to get it and I can only find the hats on dodgy sites I'm not comfortable offering card information to. Jacket is also a problem
Coolness Bears Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 @Serebii Ash is too obvious no one will be expecting MISTY. During the day I will be doing "experimenting." During the evening I have no idea. I will have my Bluray player by then so probably kicking back with a sweet ass... ...puzzle.
Magnus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 There's a ton of Ash Ketchum hats on eBay. I'm surprised you don't already own one, anyway. Surprised and a little bit disappointed. Edit: @Serebii Ash is too obvious no one will be expecting MISTY. I second this.
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 @Magnus even if I were to get the hat, have to get jacket and loads of stuff...it gets costly. Then there's time constraints.
Magnus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 @Magnus even if I were to get the hat, have to get jacket and loads of stuff...it gets costly. Then there's time constraints. There really aren't that many unique pieces to his outfit. Plus it'd be a lot easier than dressing up as Misty, where you'd have to grow your hair out and dye it orange.

Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Well, clearly. I've become more of a perfectionist since I lost weight :p
Cube Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 @Serebii How about just going as a Pokémon Trainer (i.e. your true self)?
Serebii Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 @Serebii How about just going as a Pokémon Trainer (i.e. your true self)? That's lazy lol. Think I'm going to go with The Count anyway
nightwolf Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 You guys make so much effort! This year on the 29th I'm going out with work, we're going punting (in the dark type situation, I've been told three times I'm being pushed in the river..) and then it's either clubbing or a house party. There's also a gig on the 21st I might go depending when I get off work I r excited.
Ashley Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Would have to go classic Ash for people to get it My looks are timeless. In fact I've always joked I'd go as Ash Ketchum to something, just because of the name. Then again I've also said I'd go as the Silver Surfer (i.e. silver painted wetsuit) but never happened. Never really been one for Halloween. Mother discouraged it when we were nippers and it's her birthday on the 1st so now I'm quite often visiting her (and thus not near my friends) around that time anyway.
