ipaul Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 WHY HAVE I ONLY EVER LISTENED TO BLUE MONDAY BEFORE NOW?!?! Goddam this is good.
Ganepark32 Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 & Another weekend spent looking out new music Been listening to these two tracks I found pretty much all day, loving them both.
Fierce_LiNk Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 WHY HAVE I ONLY EVER LISTENED TO BLUE MONDAY BEFORE NOW?!?! Goddam this is good. One of my favourite New Order songs! I hardly hear it get a mention anywhere. Wooooo! Try this: Of course, there's Ceremony and True Faith, which are just brilliant.
MoogleViper Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Try this: Of course, there's Ceremony and True Faith, which are just brilliant. I never knew this was a cover.
Fierce_LiNk Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I never knew this was a cover. Never heard that cover before. Sounds very different to the original, but nice. I think I prefer the pace and the energy of the original. Moby has also done a cover for Joy Division's New Dawn Fades, which is worth checking out.
MoogleViper Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Moby has also done a cover for Joy Division's New Dawn Fades, which is worth checking out. I'll check that one out. He's done quite a few covers. Such as this: Which has been done by quite a few people, my personal favourite being: Two very different songs. I love it when people cover songs in an entirely different way. It's also been done by Elvis.
Fierce_LiNk Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 More New Order lovings. I play the compilation album Substance in my car on the way to work.
MadDog Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 So happy this is her next release. It's spectacular. Possibly song of the year for me. It's just sublime.
Ganepark32 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Lovin' this at the moment: Got that 80's style to it that just sounds great. Definitely some New Order tinges in the beginning and it also brings to mind some Psychedelic Furs (also that monologue from Michelle Williams also brings to mind Graveyard Girl by M83).
Platty Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Loving Jake Bugg at the minute. In particularly this song:
Cortezston Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I am listening to St gallen's "remember when thirty seem so old"...its an old song but i love it most of the time..
Aneres11 Posted January 26, 2013 Author Posted January 26, 2013 You're so right @MadDog - and that Paramore track is so so good. Bring on the album!! If Hanson were female? Ha. Loving this track! Totally stuck in my head! The Saturdays have been in America trying to 'make it' over there. They need to stick to trying to make the UK market first although this track looks like it could give them that number 1 they've been searching for.
MadDog Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Really can't wait till the album. I've heard that HAIM song quite alot on Radio 1 and i really like it. Really into this aswell... Liked You're The One that she did a while ago, and i just love this.
Ashley Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 A sweet song. Video is also kind of sweet, but kind of nothing.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The Chorus is stuck in my head. Classic song.
Ashley Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 i keep falling in love with you again (seems that the song is all in lower case, so I'm going with that). Currently really digging these guys again after seeing them last week. A wild Rashida Jones approaches!
Mr_Odwin Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 This Shakey Graves dude is pretty cool. I heard about him through reddit on r/listentothis. Skip to 1:46.
