dwarf Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I remember giving Daft some tips on HD, I remember he likes it. It's just that his skills pale in comparison to my own. We can't all be masters. Having said that I would completely tank on Phantom if I were to play it now. And Uncharted can suck a dick on a handheld. An impressive tech demo it may be, but without the jaw-dropping set pieces of its console brethren it's reduced to decent but forgettable 3rd person shooter fodder. If you want a true Unch experience, you're getting short-changed by Golden Abyss.
Daft Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I suck at Wipeout. I feel like an old person trying to work a fax machine. Don't get me wrong, I love playing it, and still play HD regularly, and Zone mode makes sweet sweet love to my eyes and ear, but I don't half blow at it. So competitive, I am not. dwarf on the other hand is violently good at it. I mean, he has the Platinum and I cannot even conceive[END OF LINE].
Cookyman Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 The game told me Cookie is my main rival. Which I find hard to believe considering I keep smashing his times. LOOOOOOOOOL Son of a bitch!
Happenstance Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 The Vita network stuff can get weird sometimes. Just had my bluetooth turn itself back on and ive read peoples comments about the wi-fi turning itself off as well.
LegoMan1031 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Got to play a PS Vita tonight. Basically, I want one!!
Daft Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Doooo eeeet! Cookie, dazzy and I had some fun time setting on Motorostorm tonight.
LegoMan1031 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 There awesome! Playing on one just confirmed a lot of stuff I expected such as great screen etc but one thing that I didn't expect was the speed in how it does things. Just as bringing up the menu while playing a game, loading up several aps as once and trophies etc. I'm still going to wait till mid April/May where I can better afford one, with ME3 out next week I will be playing just that for a bit anyway! But when that is completed I may 're-evaluate'.
Aimless Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 We'd never have guessed. Now do the following: Create a PSN account. Buy MotorStorm RC. Buy Mutant Blobs Attack. Look at the clock and realise it's 3:00AM.
S.C.G Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Nice one Coolness! what games did you get for it in the end?
ReZourceman Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Coolness, add me. Everyone else who doesn't have me, PLEASE ADD ME.
Coolness Bears Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Nice one Coolness! what games did you get for it in the end? Unfortunately I did trade in my 3DS but no regrets so far this is awesome. I got £288 for trading it in + the games I had with it so I got Rayman Origins and Lumines, after careful research these felt the best games for me. I got the 4GB (for now) and some screen protectors! Just had a tinkle about in the Welcome Park and stuck in Rayman which looks gorgeous. I was gonna play Lumines now but it prompted me to make a PSN account so I thought I might as well.
The Lillster Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I wish I could play online, but I only have mobile internet at the moment.
The Bard Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Holy shit, it's here. What a sexy piece of kit. Just setting it up and I'll add some of you mofos to my account. Too bad none of the games have arrived yet
Daft Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 And Mutant Blob Attacks. Yes, I will keep banging on about this. It's getting drowned out by the other ridiculously good releases. Launch titles, who'd a thunk there'd be so many brilliant ones?
The Bard Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 The User Interface in this thing looks like butt. Wish they'd kept the XMB from the PSP.
Cube Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 It's still a million times better than the PS3's interface.
Agent Gibbs Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Does anyone have buyers remorse yet? anyone? come on someone make me feel better for keeping up my will power and not buying one! I hope GAME don't go bust and try selling off stock cheap because i will cave quicker than a Chilean miner
Cube Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Yes. I have remorse that I bought too many awesome games for it and am finding it hard to play them all.
The Bard Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I am now about £100 overdrawn because I absolutely had to have the damn thing.
Daft Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I regret nothing. It's a bloody marvelous device. I haven't been this happy with a portable, nay electronic purchase since...actually, ever.
dazzybee Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 No; but I still think waiting would be a good idea as it WILL come down in price pretty soon. Positive about that. The games are very good, the screen is amazing; everything else I'm not mega convinced by yet; but a few updates will solve most of the problems. What i will say, is can someone tell me how to use near. I don't get it, or I do get it and it's a terrible application. The best thing about it is getting free stuff in games; but that's it. I don't get the difference between people I've met and people close by... It's weird, in theory I like the idea of seeing local players and then being able to add to them and stuff; but in practice I just find it a confusing mess and literally never open it up (unless I have a game item). Unless I'm missing something... heeeeaaalp!
Happenstance Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Nope me neither. I need to take my Vita somewhere else so it can connect to Skyhook or whatever it is. Need to get a case first though, dont trust it just in my bag.
