Rummy Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I'm not sure I could say I know a full on, full blown, hipster, I think I've met/know quite a few people with the sort of hipster trait though. I think I view it a bit more like that, too, a trait, rather than an entire existence. So it's variable imo. That HipsterHitler comic though, amazing!
The Mad Monkey Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I'm just thinking, what would Hipster Hitler do if he were buried alive in a coffin with Santa?
MoogleViper Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Charlie Chaplin did it first....and better. Lets also not forget Oliver Hardy. IT IS TIME TO RECLAIM THE MOUSTACHE FOR COMEDY!!!
Raining_again Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hipsters seem to replacing a lot of the emo culture over here... Bandwagoners in disguise
gaggle64 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hipsters seem to replacing a lot of the emo culture over here... Bandwagoners in disguise Bandwagoners! Conform and roll out! [cue several hours of them adjusting their hair & clothes]
Frank Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I "get" the hipster comics but I must admit, I find these arguments/debates on N-E much more funny and almost ridiculous. Please people...
ReZourceman Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hitler is a great source of comedy, I can assure you......
Rummy Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Lets also not forget Oliver Hardy. IT IS TIME TO RECLAIM THE MOUSTACHE FOR COMEDY!!! Hey man, I think you'll find this fine gentleman did it best... shameless self plugging done, not often that picture is usable of near relevant to the conversation lol, make my most of of it! :p
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hey man, I think you'll find this fine gentleman did it best... shameless self plugging done, not often that picture is usable of near relevant to the conversation lol, make my most of of it! :p The irony of a black Hitler never ceases to amuse me!
The Mad Monkey Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 The irony of a black Hitler never ceases to amuse me! Not as ironic as an Austrian Hitler, oh wait .................
Paj! Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I "get" the hipster comics but I must admit, I find these arguments/debates on N-E much more funny and almost ridiculous. Frank Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I thanked you for just the sheer oddness of your post... The squeh roo' of 69 is 8 somethin'...right?
Diageo Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 If anyone bought and wore any of these t-shirts, wouldn't that make them a hipster? Also I've never had butt secks.
Nolan Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 If anyone bought and wore any of these t-shirts, wouldn't that make them a hipster? I was thinking the same. Isn't it hipster to wear a T-shirt making fun of hipsters?
heroicjanitor Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I thought the comic was funny purely for the funny faces and shouting abuse I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone called a hipster before, but I do know one and I'm going to test if he takes offence. I figure people like him would know what it means.
The Mad Monkey Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 If anyone bought and wore any of these t-shirts, wouldn't that make them a hipster? Not that I need to tell you but ..........
MoogleViper Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 shameless self plugging done, not often that picture is usable of near relevant to the conversation lol, make my most of of it! :p Pfft the toothbrush moustache cannot have a gap in the middle.
Paj! Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I thanked you for just the sheer oddness of your post... The squeh roo' of 69 is 8 somethin'...right? Ah been tranna wurk it ow aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Rummy Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Pfft the toothbrush moustache cannot have a gap in the middle. i know, for some reason it looked well weak in them photos, it kinda used to roll like that i guess. I might have a little hitler reboot later in the year!
Ellmeister Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 So yeah it took me a while to get a couple of them, but some are pretty funny. The ones with fellow country leaders at the time are pretty funny. I agree with Dyson on the Arcade Fire t-shirt. Would definitely buy some of those fortehlulz. As for hipsters in my life? I know a few who are trying to attain hipster "status" but they claim there is always a higher stage of hipsterness to reach when really, as soon as you start dressing like that/ acting like a douche you've already levelled up and evolved into a hipster. I think its changing from emo to hipster as r_a said as well.
jayseven Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 No! Poseurs have always been around with their trucker hats and aviator sunglasses. Different social stratas.
Daft Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Yeah, hipsters have been around since the 60s. Emo...wait, what's the difference between emo and goth?
