Retro_Link Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Was Facility in PD? Wasn't it Temple and Complex (the one Shorty's talking about)? Anyways, Bunker was the favourite for our 4-player all nighters. And then Temple.
Wesley Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 All 3 of those maps were in PD if I remember rightly. Changed the name of one or something. I'm really excited for this. Not sure if I'll be getting Gold for it though...
Roostophe Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Facility was called Felicity. I don't normally do online play because I know many online gamers are likely to be insufferable twats, but I will with this. Should actually be awesome...
S.C.G Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) We should set up a few N-europe deathmatch games, could be a laugh. One of my favourite Perfect Dark multiplayer maps was the one with the Matrix-like foyer, an elevator, labs and best of all, this glass platform which you could crouch on and take out people from above which is great until either someone realises and shoots the glass or if you shoot the glass you're standing on by mistake... :/ Edited August 23, 2009 by S.C.G
Shorty Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I set up mines under that glass and shot the glass out beneath someone's feet once. Felt so cool. My favourite map by far was Area 52, closely followed by Villa.

m_fergy Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I never played this on the N64. I only had a few games... Mario, Zelda, Snowboard Kids, Mario Kart and Golden Eye. Golden Eye and Mario Kart got hammed. And seeing alot of comments that PD was better than Golden Eye, Cant wait to play this
ViPeR Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I think the majority of the PD maps were awesome though a lot of them suffered thanks to the framerate and resolution. Both of which should be sorted in this. I think my favs would be Area 52, Skedar, Villa, Felicity and G5.

I loved that map. Probably my favourite. :awesome: There was another one, it had those bridges above a deep chasm where you'd die if you fell off. I used to stand on the lowest bridge and shoot any unfortunate enemies that fell off the bridges. Then I'd randomly jump off myself from time to time. Edited August 23, 2009 by Roostophe
Wesley Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Oh shiiii, talking about this makes me so happy. This is what old folks must feel like when they think of old sweets and... stuff. I can't think of a favourite map. As long as I had a laptop gun and a farsight they were all fine.

I can't think of a favourite map. As long as I had a laptop gun and a farsight they were all fine. Laptop gun was cruel. Place it above a door and win. What was the alien gun that had two firing modes, one which was slower but fired through doors? Felicity was best imo. "TOILETS!"

James Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 farsight was indeed epic, great if your a top sniper, but shit for everyone else.
ViPeR Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I can see there being a 'no farsight' rule for most games. It doesn't really take good sniping skill, the way I remember it it actually locked onto enemies. The gun that shoots through doors or walls for the second function was the Callisto I think. I just called it Calypso.
Wesley Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Farsight trailed behind the person when they're moving... so... some skill was needed. A bit like pointing at a specific place for a footballer to kick the ball to.

This... plus you have to be completely stationary to use it and so can be killed easily if you're not hidden away while 'sniping' so yeah, some skill involved.

Laptop gun was also very good even before using it as a sentry.
ViPeR Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 AR34 was my weapon of choice. Either that or a Dragon.

I believe it's called G5.
Deathjam Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Good times huh? Was great having the friends round everyday to play this.
Cube Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 That is without a doubt one of my favourite maps. I believe it's called G5. Wasn't it Grid (but it was set in the G5 building)?
Pookiablo Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Wasn't it Grid (but it was set in the G5 building)? It was indeed. The level G5 was a piece of shit in comparison.
Jimbob Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I'm all up for N-E death-matches when this comes out, i always loved the multi-player mode. Can't remember map names however, but i do know that the Felicity level is in PD-Zero multi-player as DLC.
Wesley Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Didn't the Dragon let you... throw it and make it blow up as the secondary fire? Something cool like that.
Nicktendo Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Didn't the Dragon let you... throw it and make it blow up as the secondary fire? Something cool like that. It acted in the same way as a proximity mine. You could chuck it on the ground and then when unsuspecting victims approached. KA-BOOM! Death.
