Daft Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Xbox 720 hardware teasing Again, are you high? This is not going to happen.
BeerMonkey Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 while the 360 is doing rather well it would be bad business to annouce the 720
Choze Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 Again, are you high? This is not going to happen. Just a tease. Car crash demo.
Hero-of-Time Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Where's this Kingdom Hearts rumour coming from? Surely KH3 is a LONG way off seing as the KH team are still working on FF Versus XIII. When it is ready to be announced I would imagine it will be at TGS.
MATtheHAT Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I hope some of this is shown, especially: Alan Wake Halo ODST Perfect Dark 2 Killer Instinct God of War III Gran Turismo 5 But what I really want to see is some gameplay footage of Modern Warfare 2, not just a teaser trailer.
CoolFunkMan Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 (edited) Alan Wake Halo 3 Recon (still refusing to call it that shite name) Perfect Dark 2 Yup, those sound good to me! I hope they show up in some form. I'm also really hoping that Valve finally reveal Half-Life 2: Epsiode 3!!! Oh, and just to be the first to say it... DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!!! Edited April 29, 2009 by CoolFunkMan
drahkon Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Microsoft: MGS4 enhanced very likely. No. Don't think so. Why do you think it's very likely? Microsoft: Alan Wake Geometry Wars sequel announced (probably not at e3, though) Sony does not interest me that much since I do not own a PS3. Half-Life 2: Epsiode 3 YES!
Choze Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 Heres some stuff for the MS handheld announcement: Oddly some articles have been erased. But everything points to yes. Nvidia Tegra currently is only targeted for windows mobile and android so far. SO the handheld will likely be windows mobile devices or specific device. Think N-Gage (the current one). Zune could be game orientated. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/04/12/microsoft-job-listing-hints-at-mobile-halo-project/ http://www.pocket:kiss:gamer.biz/r/PG.Biz/Zune/news.asp?c=12717 http://www.zune-online.com/news/zune/what-is-the-zune-live-.html http://www.windows-now.com/blogs/robert/xna-games-coming-to-zune-are-live-and-live-marketplace-next.aspx
dwarf Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 From E3 I'd just like to see a new inhouse Sony IP that I'm interested in. Preferably a platformer. Plus more from MAG. If I'm being honest I don't think GT will feature.
Choze Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 If I'm being honest I don't think GT will feature. It better :/ At least an update. Not worried about it though as i know it will be amazing.
Choze Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Well at least Killer Instinct 2 is there. What about the flu issue? Wouldnt e3 be a breeding ground?
Goafer Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 MGS4 enhanced very likely. MGS on PS oddly quiet. Damn it. Another MGS to buy. I've only just decided to collect the series and they announce another one!
Dyson Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Highly recommend Twin Snakes after playing MGS1. Puts a whole new spin on the game
Goafer Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Highly recommend Twin Snakes after playing MGS1. Puts a whole new spin on the game Yeah I'd like to get that one, but I refuse to use eBay after having money stolen from me too many times through paypal. I deleted both my Paypal and my ebay account and haven't looked back. I'm collecting stuff the old school way. Makes things a little tricky though. And usually more expensive. So far I haven't found Twin Snakes for a decent price.

E3, i'm not expecting any new Hardware from MS to be announced to be honest, they can't even perma fix the 360 RROD errors yet.

Companies like MS, Samsung and Dell thrive on replacements. Its what they are about. If they make quality hardware then its not good for them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Anywhere Edited April 30, 2009 by Choze

Jon Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 MGS TTS is ok. Your point on RROD is a joke. Companies like MS, Samsung and Dell thrive on replacements. Its what they are about. If they make quality hardware then its not good for them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_Anywhere yeah, because having to give away free consoles makes great business sense. No wonder MS gaming division keeps those profits rolling in.

Choze Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 (edited) Well i did not mean free replacements given by companies, and they would have to do something about their fault rates in that case. In more detail what i meant was that customers tend to buy replacements or pay excessive prices for repairs themselves. The companies get more because of the faulty products. In many cases faulty products are not fixed because what constitutes a fault is not standardised(Samsung) and many people do not know what normal is. In other cases people spend more on fixing faults than they should for cheap parts or pay for insurance/warranty (Dell). Its also documented that people are given the run about so they just put up with the problem(if a loss oculd be made). What is common is that these companies do not aim to improve their fault rates on new lines etc. Its what they are. Products not breaking can also be bad business. I only read up abit because i had an over 6 month run around with Samsung and Currys. The economics of it is interesting. Edited April 30, 2009 by Choze
Daft Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Report: Sony To Debut New Motion-Sensing Controller According to several sources, The Cut Scene is reporting that Sony are set to unveil a new motion-sensing controller, perhaps as soon as E3 next month. The controller - which reportedly uses "small LEDs" and a "small webcam" to track the players' movement - is apparently similar in function to the Wii Remote, though because it can register "different color lights and the shape and angle of each light", it will be more accurate. Of course, this isn't the first time we've heard rumours of a new motion-sensing controller from Sony. According to The Cut Scene's sources, this controller is a close match in function, if not in form, to the one described in this patent, though from the sounds of it it's also making use of technology found in this one as well. E3, for reference, is only a month away. http://kotaku.com/5235112/report-sony-to-debut-new-motion+sensing-controller The PSEye is criminally underused. It is a pretty amazing piece of tech. It's ability to track movement already is damn impressive.
S.C.G Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Regarding Sony's motion controller - lol Regarding reliability of the 360 - companies like M$ may make a load out of repairs but it would be better all round if they could just produce a more reliable console in the first place.
