Paj! Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley All Day And All Of The Night - The Kinks Round 3 Match 1: Foo Fighters vs. Bear McCreary Match 2: Radiohead vs. A Fine Frenzy Match 3: Rage Against The Machine vs.Led Zeppelin Match 4: Tori Amos vs. Lemon Jelly
Roostophe Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Jeff Buckley Because I'm worth it...you lot aren't, though.
Paj! Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 I'm sick of Hallelujah now. I have to hear a different version everytime, or I get sick. I've heard his too many times recently, and I'm more in the mood for The Kinks.

S.C.G Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Jeff because I've heard that Kinks song so many times that I dislike it, Hallelujah on the other hand, sure thay played it to death over the Christmas period but it's still a lot less played than the Kinks track, plus it's an excellent version but I'm not gonna get into that stupid debate about which version of the damn song is the best again.
dan-likes-trees Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Both incredible songs, but the fact remains that, overplayed as it is, ruined by the X factor thought it may be, Buckley's version of Hallelujah is one of the best songs ever performed.
The fish Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 The Kinks, but only by the most slender of margins.
GothicPlague Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 The Kinks. Call me crazy but for some reason I'm not that fond on Hallelujah.
Paj! Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 I love the amount of participation when it's 2 famous songs...
chairdriver Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 The Kinks. Hallelujah was better when it wasn't bombarded into my ears wherever I go.
MadDog Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Pretty hard choice. I'll vote for Jeff Buckley Very close though.
Nolan Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 The Kinks. Sorry Dyson. Both are classics....but one is a good classic.
MoogleViper Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 That shite singer has ruined Hallelujah so now we can't enjoy the older versions. But it's still an amazing song, (although not the best cover) so it's got to be Buckley.
Twozzok Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 The Kinks While Hallelujah is an awesome song after that christmas it's gonna take a while for me not to be annoyed by it.
