Emasher Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Though, I doubt that would even happen the way Nintendo's going about things these days.
Grazza Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I think he meant he would like to see the OoT remake with traditional controls intact, not the whole of Nintendo's next system. Yes, exactly, I meant keep the game as it was, just with better framerate, resolution etc, although come to think of it, I'd enjoy the addition of camera control with a C-stick.
Deathjam Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Wii Channel is now Free: Nintendo has made its Wii Internet Channel free to all. Here's the full release, but it says it all in the title really: By connecting Wii to the internet, you are opening your living room up to a world of possibilities! The Wii-specialised web browser enables people to connect wirelessly to the internet to surf the internet, do their internet shopping and even watch online catch-up TV services via their console. The fast-booting internet browser will create a new relationship between the family, the TV, and the internet. This Channel uses the full internet browser from Opera Software, which also supports Adobe Flash. Surfing the web with the Wii Remote is simple for the whole family. It lets you zoom in on areas of interest with ease and browse your favourite websites at leisure. The Wii Internet Channel previously required 500 Wii Points. For those Wii owners who have already spent 500 Wii Points on the Wii Internet Channel, Nintendo will be offering a NES title from Virtual Console worth 500 Wii Points and will be launched in late October. Further details on how to get the channel will be announced on the Wii Message Board and on the Nintendo website. Source Is if worth using the wii internet channel compared to what the ps3 and pc offer? PC I would personally say no but ps3?
Tellyn Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Definitely better than the PS3. It may lack more advanced features but it has an easier to use interface, and the Wii Remote is more similar to a mouse than the PS3's dual analogue sticks. Boom Blox Bash Party arrived today from Zavvi (took bloody long enough). I'm going to take it for a spin in a minute.
Ganepark32 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 ^ Boom Blox Bash Party is great. Does sort of feel more like an add-on rather than a standalone game but there's plenty more content in there to enjoy if you enjoyed the first game. The online component is better as well, with there being some really interesting levels up for download/play online. So yeh, good buy there

So yeh, good buy there I agree, the main bulk of the game is basically an expansion, but the online sharing features are brilliant. I spent a while streaming and playing levels online - despite a bit of lag, it's otherwise seamless! I've found a few decent levels too, including a retro ? block recreation. T-3 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I'm trying to remember if Sin & Punishment is 1200 or less... It's exactly 1200 points. 1000 points + 100 points import fee + 100 points for the extra translation.
KKOB Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Avoid Super Metroid and get one of the DKC games. I played the DKC games on SNES when they came out, but was too young to appreciate Metroid. Thanks for the continued help in deciding how i spend this bit of money stuffs.
LostOverThere Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 If you haven't tried NyxQuest, I'd suggest that. It's 1000 points, and although it only lasts about 4-5hrs, it's absolutely brilliant.
Emasher Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Go for Super Metroid. Its easily one of the best few games on the service.
or else you will DIE Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Go for Super Metroid. Its the best game ever made. ten characters
mcj metroid Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Avoid Super Metroid and get one of the DKC games. or you could go for a game with DEPTH that requires thinking like super metroid
david.dakota Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Super Metroid, Lylat Wars, Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, to name a few. The service is full of retro classics.
Tellyn Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Don't forget WiiWare. You won't go far wrong with LostWinds and Toki Tori.
KKOB Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I ended up spending the 1000 points on LostWinds because i'm playing through the Metroid Prime Trilogy as it is, after that i'll play Super Metroid Thanks everyone ^_^
Erin14 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Im the best in bomberman blast tryna get 2 rank B- or B+ lolz
Ganepark32 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Bomberman Blast sucks. There, I said it. While it may have online play, compared to Bomberman '94 it's not great.
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Bomberman Blast sucks. There, I said it. While it may have online play, compared to Bomberman '94 it's not great. *braces himself for chaos* It's late, but two VC games I would suggest would be Sim City (SNES) and Golden Axe (Megadrive). Two games that I loved as a kid, and they're my only two purchases so far on the Wii. I need more points. But, they're good games. Worth trying at some point in your lifetime, although they are criminally outdated now.
Erin14 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 You crazy I know lots of glitchs for bomberman blast it dont suck mater fact im the best person in it who plays it lolz.who want a challenge?
Tellyn Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 You know what, Erin14? Yes. I do want a challenge. I hereby challenge you to a duel!
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 You know what, Erin14? Yes. I do want a challenge. I hereby challenge you to a duel! *gasp* A New Challenger Approaches. You know, I don't know of a single other person in the world who owns the game. I might have to look at it now, after all this aggressive advertising!
