Ellmeister Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 A levels on the 14th can't wait! I don't even mind not doing well, I'm just really impatient.
D-Day Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Well, I got a 2:1 at my first year of uni this year. To all who await their A-Levels, GCSEs and anything else... GOODLUCK! Ah I remember last year... Chemistry still haunts me to this day
Babooo Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 A levels on the 14th can't wait! I don't even mind not doing well, I'm just really impatient. Exactly the same here mate! I wanna know!
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I got Latin - A Chemistry - A French - A I'm getting my Maths and F. Maths on the 14th, which I'm pretty confident about (apart from M1). You do Latin? And you do it well? You, my good sir, rockz.
Ellmeister Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 So what are people predicted? Mine is: Mathematics- A Law -A Economics-B Further Maths AS- I think its a B Personally I feel the only major issue is economics because I have no clue as to how well I did at all =/
Ninty 182 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I did 3 Highers and 3 As Levels (My school has jokish options for exams). Got my Highers back today; English A Yay. I did well in English for my GCSE's, but I never know If I've done well or not. Modern Studies C Meh. I passed, I don't care. I enjoyed taking the subject, but have always struggled with remembering facts, as evidenced by... Geography F I've never got anything below an E before, and not in an official exam. I honestly would never had thought I did that badly. However, I dunno If I can be bothered resitting, as I only care about my AS levels, really. What's modern studies? I've never heard of it. Is it like art or is it like sociology or what?
Charlie Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 What's modern studies? I've never heard of it. Is it like art or is it like sociology or what? It's a Scottish subject, not sure what the English equivalent is. When I studied it we did 3 topics. The Scottish Government The UK Government International Relations: USA So basically learning about politics and how things work. It was great fun, lots of debating.
Paj! Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 What's modern studies? I've never heard of it. Is it like art or is it like sociology or what? Politics in the UK, USA and South Africa, Politics of development in Sub-Saharan Africa (excl. S.Africa), Politics/Development of China and Health + Wealth in the UK.
Charlie Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Politics in the UK, USA and South Africa, Politics of development in Sub-Saharan Africa (excl. S.Africa), Politics/Development of China and Health + Wealth in the UK. Oh yeah, Health & Wealth in the UK. Ugh. Worst topic we did.
Jackster Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 Woohoo! I got my results!! Got an A in Intermediate 2 Maths, English and Latin and I got 1s in Standard Grade Physics, Computing and Drama! Couldn't be happier really!
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Woohoo! I got my results!! Got an A in Intermediate 2 Maths, English and Latin and I got 1s in Standard Grade Physics, Computing and Drama! Couldn't be happier really! Latin AND Drama! You guys have some awesome subjects!
chairdriver Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 You do Latin? And you do it well? You, my good sir, rockz. Thank you. : peace:
Ninty 182 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 congrats all. ...Unless you did badly then shame on you; Get Out!
Dan_Dare Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 well I got a 2:1 at uni, but that was weeks ago now. I'm just passing by...
Twozzok Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I don't really care about my results, only if I get into my chosen uni or not. I reckon it's not all too bad as there's always clearing. (My mate went into clearing and got onto a better course then he applied for)
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 TBH... College results don't mean much if you want to get into uni. Clearing starts in a few weeks, and Universities value your cash more than anything else, so you could easily get a place with dodgy results.
MoogleViper Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Same, although for some reason i'm not scared. I'm fairly sure i will have no lower than a C in all 4 subjects and i can/will always re-take a module or 2 next year. I get my AS results too on the 14thGod i'm scared... =S Same here. Maths and Business should be ok. Not very confident about PD: graphics. Stupid teacher, should've learned from last year.
My Buttons are Magic! Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 i get my results on september 8th from my uni results (didnt do mine in may..) i only need 40% to get by..n i HATE FILM STUDIES. its horrible
The fish Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Oddly, I'm feeling confident about these as I put in the most work I've ever put into any exams, but at the same time, I'm obviously bricking it due to the fact that they, y'know, determine my life...
Coolness Bears Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I'm not scared about getting my results it's not as if I can stop them from happening! I'll just let the train of inevitability roll on down the track until it reaches my destination. I'll probably stroll in late morning to avoid the crowds. and run back to my Mum's car to avoid the teachers. >_____<
Babooo Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I don't really care about my results, only if I get into my chosen uni or not. I reckon it's not all too bad as there's always clearing. (My mate went into clearing and got onto a better course then he applied for) Agreed. I don't mind if I haven't done as well as I expected, as long as I make into my first or second choice, I'm happy. Hell, if I get into any decent Uni (through Clearing) I'll be happy! Still nervous about thursday....good luck everyone!
Slaggis Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Same as a lot of you, I get my AS results on the 14th. I'm actually not worried at all, it's a little odd.
Twozzok Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 That's because you have another year to sort them out if they suck :p
