DCK Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 That really can't be called a trailer. It consisted mostly of a camera moving through environments and some very basic movement. It looks like a show-off an alpha stage engine at best.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 The enviroments looks good, maybe a little iffy in some places, hard to tell from a off-screen video. The characters on the other hand... not so great.
Mokong Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 New trailer.... not much new in the video footage from the video shown last month, but it does have a niffty narration added http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=12342
Coolness Bears Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I like the narration in this trailer, It gives it more of an atmosphere. It looks intriguing, graphically I like the enviroments and buildings (though some bits aren't so great.) but the actual character models need some work on the guy walking up through the mountain near the start was a a bit to fuzzy looked like a DS game. :p (well not that bad!) I like the idea behind it as well and hope it has a good story. I'll be looking for more news on this as it develops.
... Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Yet more pictures. Interesting design and presentation choices for the ghosts.
Slaggis Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Ooo, the screens a couple of posts above look rather good for the Wii.
... Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Ooo, the screens a couple of posts above look rather good for the Wii. No, I think they look rather good compared with the crap we've seen so far on Wii. The screens have a resolution too high for the Wii, yes, but the graphics seen in them are nothing out of reach of the Wii. You misunderstand me, that's exaclty what I meant. I own a gamecube and have done from the start so I know how could the graphics could look.
Tellyn Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 A hands-on in the latest issue of NGamer reveals that Deep Silver's upcoming horror title, Cursed Mountain, could support Wii MotionPlus. Cursed Mountain, announced back in July by developers Deep Silver, takes place in the Himalayas in the 1980s and follows the tale of a climber who has lost his brother on a trek near a village occupied by the restless souls of the people who died there many years ago. Issue #30 of NGamer features a hands-on with Deep Silver's creepy caper and includes a few more details on the controls of Cursed Mountain. Wii Remote gestures will be used to act out rituals and use prayer scrolls in order to defeat ghosts and allow them to move on to the underworld. As we'll be assuming the role of a climber, gestures will also be used to scale frozen walls with an icepick. The hands-on also features confirmation that the developers are considering implenting Wii MotionPlus support into Cursed Mountain to allow for more accurate motion recognition. Be sure to pick up the Christmas issue of NGamer when it hits shelves next week to read the full preview. Cursed Mountain is due for a release at some point in 2009. http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=12559
dazzybee Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I'm liking all this motionlus support. For me, EVERY game should include the option to use motionplus AS WELL as normal wiimote player. That way noone gets isolated, yet will offer better control for people with motion plus; also encouraging people to actually upgrade to motionplus and then in the long run encouraging developers to use it in ever more creative ways!!
david.dakota Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 IGN have a their first impressions up. Certainly sounds promising, and i'm liking the 'combat' system. Has this an ETA yet?

Meo Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 New trailer: http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/14270799/cursed-mountain/videos/cmounttra2.html Digging the atmosphere and the voice work.
Ganepark32 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 ^ yeh. The atmosphere that they've managed to create so far looks great. You really get a sense of the isolation and the insignificance of your character in the face of this mountain. Combat is looking a bit strange but then I don't know much about it so that's why.
Retro_Link Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Another New Trailer [^] http://www.gametrailers.com/player/44658.html They're doing some great work on this! - Voice work is excellent - Story seems a good one - Some great visuals on the locations etc... Only thing i'm not sure about yet is the gameplay! I'm not saying it bad, I just don't know what it's about yet, or what to expect. There seems to be a camera you can use, which is linke to some sort of motion controlled battle system... anyone know if we can expect adventuring? [like Tomb raider or Uncharted], I guess there'll be some puzzle solving?... Anyways, definately one to watch!
Retro_Link Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 They are the same as those posted by myself and Meo.
mcj metroid Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 i think the visuals are very meh.. maybe it's early though..Least it seems to have a story of some sorts.. that's all that's going for it sofar.
D_prOdigy Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Screens of an updated build of the title can be found here
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Looking at some of these screens, this game really reminds me of Eternal Darkness, which was in my top 5 games of last generation.
Shino Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Yeah, this one: should say "Nintendo" when it appears.
Retro_Link Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Looks really good visually. Why's it SO dark though, couldn't see a thing at times!
