Babooo Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 As soon as any of you lot know, tell me when if its region free or not. I NEED to know. My life (or lack of) depends on it!
ShadowV7 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I'll be keeping an eye on it so i'll PM you once I find out. Should hopefully know on Monday/Tuesday.
Tales Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Videogamesplus always tests new releases on a PAL 360. They post the results on their blog.

khilafah Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 It's very unlikely that the US version will be region free as the Asian (Japanese Language) version is locked.
DanielTimothy Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 It's very unlikely that the US version will be region free as the Asian (Japanese Language) version is locked. No offense mate, but I hope to god your wrong.
Tales Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 It got 8.2 on IGN. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/902/902269p1.html
ShadowV7 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I'm keeping ym eye on VG+ and play-asia for test results. Really hope it's region free...
Domstercool Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Me too, but I have a feeling it isn't. It doesn't matter though as there is IU and Disgaea 3 to keep me well busy after.
ShadowV7 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I don't think it will be either. I checked play asia and looked at some tested Namco games and barely any was region free.
Sheikah Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 It got 8.2 on IGN. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/902/902269p1.html Only 0.2 higher than the crock of shit that was Legendia. It doesn't look good for the Tales games anymore.
ShadowV7 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Well ToV isn't region free. VG+ tried it and it never worked. Was gonna get it next week in America but never mind. Next year it is ¬_¬
Babooo Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Well ToV isn't region free. VG+ tried it and it never worked. Was gonna get it next week in America but never mind. Next year it is ¬_¬ Just got ur message....NOOOOOooooO! I hate being in Europe sometimes.
Domstercool Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Ah well. Started Tales of the Abyss today, pretty good stuff.
Guest Captain Falcon Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I know Atari said they'd be releasing this sometime this year, but now they've gone and put the month of June on it - no exact date yet though.
Guest Captain Falcon Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 In Europe? If so that's great news^^ Yeah for Europe - no word on Dawn of the New World though...
ShadowV7 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 It's getting released in Europe, it's been confirmed. Just dunno when.
Diageo Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 cant see those pictures but i'm psyched for vesperia!
Emerald Emblem Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Seems like now I can finally say I want a PS3.
Daft Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The last JRPG I played (didn't get paid to play) was Eternal Sonata. How does this compare?
Mundi Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The last JRPG I played (didn't get paid to play) was Eternal Sonata. How does this compare? From reviews and comments I have read it most likely blows it out of the water. Then again coming off playing ES to anything is an improvement. I liked the gameplay and the music in it but dear god the plot and dialogue made wanna inhale a box of nails
Daft Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Ah, awesome! I really liked Eternal Sonata but the story was just REALLY slow. Only got half way through and it's hard to get back into it. Shame because I loved the concept. ToV is now definitely on my radar.
S.C.G Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I want this game too, not so long now though, I reckon the extra content will be made available to the 360 version as well though, I mean neither version of it is out in the UK yet so there isn't really any need to 'compensate' the PS3 version with exclusive content, well I guess maybe initially to boost sales *rolls eyes* but I reckon a few months after the dlc will be out for both versions. Either way, it looks like a potentially decent Tales title.
Domstercool Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Don't think it will you know. The 360 never got any extras in the Eternal Sonata that the PS3 got, even through download. It's just how it is, Europe gets the donkey bottom when it comes to RPGs. Still getting it though, if it is good, I'll just replay the PS3 version down the line ^_^ *Is playing Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World right now!* See if it can be my 4th Tales game to complete.
