Coolness Bears Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I'm not sure why but i thought of them the other night! and had a look at which ones i had got and i'd got over half of the collection. (at that time ) This reminded me that i'd looked at a Mr. Men book a while back and quite a few new ones had been added to the back like Mr. Rude and Mr. Lazy! I remember there being a TV show but i'm not sure it was so long ago! and for anyone who is interested the new show starts on the 25th of February on Channel 5! I think my favourites were Mr. greedy, Mr. slow and Mr. Messy! I think i'm most like those! as i'm always eating, i'm fairly slow at everything i do and i'm defiantely not the tidiest of people! Did you read them when you were younger? Did you complete the collection to spell out Mr. Men? Who were your favourite Mr. Men? and what Mr. man are you most like?
Tellyn Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I used to have a MASSIVE collection of Mr. Men books, I used to get a new one every time I went to Asda. I can't remember if I finished my collection... But I'm like Mr. Greedy too. :p
The fish Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 The Mr. Men are awesome! Mr. Funny is almost still funny, and I have a cuddly Mr. Tickle somewhere I won at an air rifle stall about a year ago at a funfair!

I'd like a Mr. Bump Cuddly! it would make for a great cushion.
The fish Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Awesome! :awesome: Are the arms really long? Ish. I'd get a photo, but I think he's at my sister's house in York, making it a little tricky...
Letty Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Mr Silly was my favourite I only had about 3 of them, but I had much enjoyment
killthenet Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 How can anyone dislike Mr Men anyway? Everything about it is totally badass.
darksnowman Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I'm not sure if I have any of the books, but I do have a good old video of em. I can't think of who my favourite would be.
Guest bluey Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 they were giving away mr. happy toys with persil or something recently werent they? i wanted to get one for my friend - 'cause he's a grumpy bastard i managed to get one - and it disappeared ... a little while later i discovered my dog in her basket chewing mr. happy's head O___O ...how very dark!
Guest bluey Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 i always liked the worm~ ...he's from mr.men, right??
jayseven Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 The worm's from a different bunch of stuff by a guy named Richard Scarry. I used to have some of the books, and I liked Fixit Fox the best :P As for Mr Men -- I am currently wearing odd socks, but on one foot I have "Perfect by name, perfect by nature" and a picture of Mr Perfect on them.. I liek teh ironiez. You seen how expensive the Mr. Men books are these days? *shakes head in disbelief* I've got a bunch of them at home that I found in a charity shop, mind.

Hellfire Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I thought this thread was about male homosexuality.
Haver Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I had about 3/4 of these. When I think back on storylines, all I have is 1) Someone enjoying a sunny vista through a window (while eating toast?) and 2) Someone going to the Ritz. And Mr. Silly, painting the leaves green to win the silliness contest. I think I can rely with more confidence on the Mr. Men books for philosophy than the Bible.
My Buttons are Magic! Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 mr men? i prefer the little miss im little miss sunshine got a book/file/pencil set

I swear The Mirror was giving them away extremely recently, if only I'd known! As for me, I liked the Mr.Men, but I don't think I can be called a fan as I never had any of the Mr.Men related things except possibly a pen/pencil or something, but read the books in school when I was young enough to be where they were. I remember in year 4 someone set us the task of designing/writing out own Mr.Men story too, with out own Mr. or Little Miss. something.
Guest bluey Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 but - that little worm... he was in the mr.men books too, no?? i am confused >__< i never collected the mr.men books - but i do have the entire beatrix potter library~ they're really old and nice and hardbacked and A6 and cute and can i say and one more time and i think i can!! ^__^
