DomJcg Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 What more can i say? flames are reaching 30 foot and the markets...no more. BUGGER!
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 For real?...man, quiet a lot of areas in london has been going up in flames...Damn global warning (and chavs with matches).
Nintendohnut Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Yeah this is real http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1304790,00.html?f=rss They have a video there, and it also says Local businessman Alex Proud was at pains to point out "the main lock market, famous among tourists, has not been touched by the fire", with most of the devastation believed to have occured in the celebrated market's storage area. But bugger, I love that place.
killthenet Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Well there have been people campaigning for the markets to be torn down, so that they can build other such things in their place. Perhaps these shady businessmen have been performing some arson.
welsh_gamer Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Camden is awesome. The market and all the shops there are very unique. I hope the damage isn't too bad...
Supergrunch Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 More worrying than the buildings themselves is the people this might affect.
Rummy Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Damn, I've only been down camden market a few times, but they were generally some fucking awesome days, and I got my beloved spidey shirt from there too! Gonna be a real shame if anything is majorly lost or affected
Letty Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 OSHI!!! The only reason I like going to London is to hang around there :(
killthenet Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Last time I checked the flames were pretty close to Scar Studios, the practice rooms that me and my band use. Looks like the guys who own that could be put out of business too.
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Well there have been people campaigning for the markets to be torn down, so that they can build other such things in their place. Perhaps these shady businessmen have been performing some arson. In that case this seems very similar to the other recent major fire in east London near an Olympic site.
Nintendohnut Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Meh, Camden sucks. YOU suck. Woah, that came out of nowhere. Anyway, fair enough you may not like camden but think of all the people who make a living and live there. I feel so bad for them
Coolness Bears Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I have never been to Camden and i live about 45 minutes away from London! Someone said to me FIRE!!! earlier today but didn't ellaborate any further this is what they must of meant! This is not good...
Vicar Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 "Burn baby burn discoinferno" but look on the bright side if that house burns to the ground thy can build a bigger mall there
rokhed00 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 YOU suck. Give me a cock and I will. Anyway, fair enough you may not like camden but think of all the people who make a living and live there. I feel so bad for them I have no sympathy for people who exploit tourists.
Nintendohnut Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Give me a cock and I will. Lol knew you would say that : peace:
The fish Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 One word: Noooooooooooooooooo!!!! I loved it.
thirtynine. Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 OSHI!!! The only reason I like going to London is to hang around there :( Visit me instead.
Dante Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I never been to London or Camdens. Visit me instead. 39 house is the new Camden?
Shorty Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I don't get the big deal about camden. It's just a bunch of black boots and black band tshirts and black hoodies and black hats and bags you can buy anywhere else or cheaper online. The Electric Ballroom is an awesome venue in Camden though, and the people of the area are cool. Once upon a time, when I was a bit more punk and the internet was a slightly smaller place, it was something - but these days.... Well, still, hope it makes some kind of comeback.
