ThePigMarcher Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Damn you Retro. :p I was waiting for Pikmin to drop tom below £20 before picking it up again , now it looks like I may have to raid the credit card. May also have to give HotD 2 and 3 a look. And if anyone hasn't yet picked up Dewys Adventure , Eledees or Geo Wars Galaxies yet , I would seriously recommend them.
Tellyn Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I was waiting for Pikmin to drop tom below £20 before picking it up again , now it looks like I may have to raid the credit card. May also have to give HotD 2 and 3 a look. And it has - by exactly one English penny.
Ganepark32 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 @ Portlett - I loved Dewy's Adventure. The controls take a little getting used to and can get a little frustrating when it comes to having to make small movements, with the Wii-mote crying out for the Motion Plus here, but other than these small niggles it's pretty good. At that price, I'd say go for it.
ThePigMarcher Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) is dewys adventure actually any good? As Ganepark32 said , there are issues with it , the controls do take a little while to get accustomed too , and there is a bigger issue with the camera as the lack of perceived depth can cause some problems measuring jumps. Once you get used to reading the shadows though , it does get a little easier. It is also overbearingly cute , and if you do buy and complete it , whatever you do , mute the TV during the credits Despite that , I paid full price for it on release and I never regretted it , and I do feel it is seriously under-rated. You really can't go wrong at that price. And it has - by exactly one English penny. What can I say , I'm cheap :p Edited March 31, 2009 by ThePigMarcher
david.dakota Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I recall some dirt cheap Nintendo/Wii points. Have they now gone? Any other economically priced points?

welsh_gamer Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 Man, I really hate paying pull price for games only for them to go down shortly after. I knew I shouldn't of bothered getting it on day 1 I feel the same way. I've only spent under 2 hours with Madworld so far. At least we made sure it got into the Top 40 on week one eh?
Hero-of-Time Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Man, I really hate paying pull price for games only for them to go down shortly after. I knew I shouldn't of bothered getting it on day 1 Agreed. Its a slap in the face for us early adopters and its happenning more and more now.
ReZourceman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Agreed. Its a slap in the face for us early adopters and its happenning more and more now. Great for us bargain hunters though.
ShadowV7 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Sh'up It still really sucks though, that's £30 we've been screwed with if you count HotD ¬_¬
ReZourceman Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Sh'up It still really sucks though, that's £30 we've been screwed with if you count HotD ¬_¬ Pffft. Count yourself lucky yo' I bough da SFIV CE. £70. Three days after launch was offered £20 trade in, and two weeks after launch saw it in GAME for £40. Although I sold it on ebay for just over that in the end anyway. But yeah. You are right though, its kinda ridiculous. Well no, its fucking ridiculous. For supporting them early you get screwed.
Esequiel Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yup, thats why i refuse to buy 99% of games when they first come out. The only ones iv had in the last year was Fifa 09, Street Fighter IV and Resi 5 (with my new elite). Madworld is only £17.99 in gamestation btw.

Tellyn Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 It's getting increasingly more hard to refuse Shaun White and Deadly Creatures. How long's the sale on for? I just forked out over £100 for gaming merchandise yesterday and would like to allow my bank account to recover.
Retro_Link Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 It's their Easter sale, so prob a couple of weeks, if the stock stays around that long.
spirited away Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 It's their Easter sale, so prob a couple of weeks, if the stock stays around that long. Most of the good games are out of stock already.
