Scarf Face
I have been working for the past 6 months, hand in hand with college, I got a job working for a property investment company in Liverpool privately owned by one of my Dads mates and things have been going swell. My Boss turned around to me and said, next week he wants me to escort him around all the bars and restaurants in town, gathering ideas for a restaurant he wants to open. Also I am going on a night out in some of the best bars in Liverpool for the Chrimbo party. Circo Alma de Cuba You name it, I'm going, oh and I got a raise. Stick shelf stacking up yer arse Oh and hello, my name is Andy!
Patch
Man, I feel relieved. I read the topic title as: 'Ever felt as if you are giving up on this world?' I was expecting some dire suicide-inducing story... Anyway, hello. I don't usually greet people, but I'm feeling in a General Discussion mood today for some reason. Stay away from those dogs bollocks curries though.

gaggle64
I don't know really. It's probably just because I'm still at Uni, but everything feels up in the air. Generally yes, I feel like my mind, my ethics and my skills are all steadily improving. Sometimes I feel like the cosmonaut in the tower elevator, readying himself mentally before being strapped to a 130ft tube of highly explosive liquid and fired off into the mysterious vibrancy of the wider universe. jayseven
Nope. I think there's a steady incline conveying me to a higher place, but once I get out of uni, the 'fun' stops there. I've sort of got some half-cocked ambitions, ever damplened by my plain laziness... So yeah. No.
EEVILMURRAY
I like to think so. I'm taking a step back by possibly working at Sainsbury's during the festive season... again. But I've got work experience at the BBC in January, hopefully that'll lead to something.
Guest bluey
hello scarf face! *waves manically* i like your screen name - i read it as scarface anyway ~ i wonder if that was intentional... or if you are an avid scarf-wearer...? hmm... anyway! what a great topic - i read it as the horrible vaguely suicidal title everyone else did but i'm relieved to find that it;s actually someone being happy and content with where their life is taking them - kudos!! i'm in a total stop gap right now =___= i finished uni in the summer and spent the time between then and now looking for jobs in japan and working (woo for retail jobs >__>) i got offered a job in japan a little while ago so i'll be moving out there beginning of next year... so i feel happy to have something to work towards! (even though it means leaving merry old england and the surprising amount of really quite good things i have here  ) anyway! good for you. and welcome to the boards! Paj!
No. I'm declining much more than i'm going up. Eventually I'll spiral into a neverending vortex (Death).
DCK
Yeah me too. I've been having the feeling all my life. I wonder what'll happen when I stop 'progressing'. Doubt I'll like that.

Razz
I do sometimes, but it's usually a sign of tragedy. Whenever I've felt like you say scarf, something terrible happens, so I just try not to.

Ashley
Not really. I've plataued (and cant be bothered to learn how to spell that) for now, in terms of work. I can't rise above keyholder (or acting assistant at the moment) because I can't do 40 hours a week (...well, I am presently but normally I can't). So theres no future for me at Game. And technically I'm taking a step backward soon as I am quitting there to concentrate on uni. But that feels like a personal step foward as im so overworked. I shall rise to this apparent 'up' place, but it can wait until after uni. Time for funsies.
My Buttons are Magic!
im being trained up in work im next in line to become a keyholder but theres 2 many poeple on it at the moment so for the moment they're training me to do stock / delivery at the moment apart from that not moving up in the world.. i know i have a future with greg so whatever i do i know im not alone
Eenuh
Hmm, don't really feel like I'm really getting anywhere in anything. Sure I'm learning some new stuff in school but I don't yet have the feeling I'd be able to actually use any of it for a job. But then again my (hopefully) future job doesn't really let you move up the ladder anyway, so to speak.
