Magnus Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 And you're Ashley. I mean, since we're just stating the obvious.
Tales Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Why didn't I google this before. How to download patches in the background. My Internet connection isn't out of this world, but I can download just fine given enough time. The problem was very random and irregular disconnections that never harms normal downloads(ok, once) but always stops download of patches. Actually discovered this by accident as I wondered why I suddenly had a 2GB Battlefield 3 file in the download list, when the game had already been downloaded and installed.
Tales Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 It's considered one of the weaker games in the series, if that's what you're asking. You won't be lost in the story, since they're all mostly standalone (well, you'll be lost when it comes to the present-day stuff, but everyone is at this point). It's a fun game and it's worth playing. I just wanted to say weaker doesn't necessarily means weak. It's a great game on its own.
flameboy Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Picked up divekick and Spelunky today both awesome games for totally different reasons!
drahkon Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Picked up divekick and Spelunky today both awesome games for totally different reasons! Tell me more about divekick. Never heard of it. Can't wait 'til the EU store updates so I can get Spelunky!
MATtheHAT Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 DiveKick is brilliant. I bought it on Steam when it came out. The developers wanted to condense the 1v1 fighter down to it's purest form, whereby removing the long combo inputs and difficult frame counting movesets. Now it's just two buttons; Dive and Kick. It works really well.
drahkon Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Sounds good. Is it worth 10€, though? And wasn't there supposed to be 20% off for PS+ subscribers? And by the way, I was able to download the PS3 and PSVita versions of the J&D Trilogy for free today : peace: Edit: There seems to be a problem with Spelunky cross buy, some people are reporting on the German and European PSblog. Going to wait until the problem is resolved. Edited August 28, 2013 by drahkon
Cube Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 @Daft will be glad to hear this: Both Jak & Daster Collection and Stealth Ink on PS+ include both PS3 and Vita versions.
Daft Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I got Stealth Inc for free. Silly Billy. Jak & Daster Collection? Fucking A! We sure about that? The blog said the Vita version wasn't included (And Magnus said it was a crap version anyway).
Happenstance Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Im downloading the Vita version right now. Its not in the PS+ section of the Vita store but still comes up as free in its normal listing.
Tales Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) I'm downloading it right now and it comes in two files, one twice as big as the other. Already own J&D and ACIII. J&D is awesome, I have never actually played the first one when I bought the collection on a sale a while back. I have played and finished the other two though, think I borrowed them on PS2 from a friend. I remember liking them then, but it took like 15 minutes(or whenever you get the first "car" mission) before I quit. It was so horrible. Edited August 28, 2013 by Tales
-Dem0- Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Assassins Creed III downloaded & installed. Will play that tomorrow.
Tales Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I played the first and half of the second mission of Battlefield 3 and one short online match. Soooo boring.
Choze Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I played the first and half of the second mission of Battlefield 3 and one short online match. Soooo boring. You know whats funny? BF4 will also have a single player mode.
Daft Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I think I might start calling my Vita the Spelunky machine.
Shorty Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I was going to buy the Vita version of Stealth Inc a few days ago, but didn't. Score
Happenstance Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I think I might start calling my Vita the Spelunky machine. I only just bought it this morning but I know what you mean. Its the perfect "Just one more try" game.
Daft Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Looks absolutely awesome on the Vita's screen. Really vibrant. Damn good screen.
Happenstance Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Yep. Im just downloading the PS3 version at the moment to have a comparison.
Daft Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Any chance you can play the PS3 and the Vita version at the same time on co-op?
Happenstance Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I was wondering that myself, gonna test it in a minute. Yep it works, you just both choose "Play LAN Game" and it finds the Vita.
Sheikah Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Oh awesome, thanks for mentioning Spelunky. Looked it up and it sounds pretty fantastic, I'll buy it when I'm home. Out of interest can you play online co op?
Happenstance Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I dont think so, there didnt seem to be an option for it anyway.
Daft Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I was wondering that myself, gonna test it in a minute. Yep it works, you just both choose "Play LAN Game" and it finds the Vita. That's fucking brilliant. I mean, that should be standard but you can't really assume it. Awesome.
