Mundi Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Oh god no do not but Dushku in this. It´s like she puts effort into acting bad.
mcj metroid Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 wow apprantly terminator salvation is shit ! i'm very disappointed if this is true? Anybody manage to see it yet?
Retro_Link Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 ^ really!!? according to who?... I am/was really looking forward to it!
mcj metroid Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 well not that it's always go to go by... but ocassionally I check up rottentomatoes for an idea of how good something is.. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/terminator_salvation/ seems the general view is it's the worst of the 4 anyway.
Paj! Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Yeah, that upset me. But then again, if it wasn't called "Terminator", the trailers wouldn't suggest "OMGAMAZING".
Happenstance Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Heres IGNs review of it anyway: http://movies.ign.com/articles/985/985018p1.html
Fierce_LiNk Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 So, the new Terminator is lacking on the story-telling front? I really, really hope this film at least turns out to be decent, otherwise I'll...just shoot myself. If anything, this just proves that Terminator can only survive with one man at the helm: James Cameron. I rarely read reviews, because I'd rather judge for myself. But, some of the things highlighted were things that I was worried were going to happen. And no, "better than the last film" is not something that is acceptable. This is Terminator for crying out loud. The two films have reached God Status. Why can't this be the same?
ReZourceman Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I've seen/read/heard interviews that Winston is on board aswell btw.
Cube Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 well not that it's always go to go by... but ocassionally I check up rottentomatoes for an idea of how good something is..http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/terminator_salvation/ seems the general view is it's the worst of the 4 anyway. A similar score to Wolverine. So it could be a very good film.
Retro_Link Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 IGN gave Transformers[1] and Star Trek a 7/10 and they are two of may favourite recent films so there's still some hope. Maybe this first one of the new trilogy [should it happen now?] is quite weak as it's just establishing things?... though really all three should be made to be great!
Ashley Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 And of course theres always twitter trending topics to analyse how Jo Public feels http://twitter.com/#search?q=%22Terminator%20Salvation%22%20OR%20Salvation
Dan_Dare Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 A similar score to Wolverine. So it could be a very good film. Wolverine wasn't a very good film.
Slaggis Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl, The Haunting Of Molly Hartley) is replacing Efron (who turned it down) in the Footloose remake, which is out sometime next year. I'm still annoyed Efron turned it down, but Crawford should be funsies.
ReZourceman Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Wow, Zacs turning into a bit of a legend. Good for him.
Paj! Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Wolverine wasn't a very good film. That's what I was gonna say. It was rubbish. I prefer X3.
Dan_Dare Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 It still shits on X3, but it was distinctly average.
Paj! Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I preferred X3 vastly. Wolverine felt cheap and added nothing to my life. X3 was fine in parts, added to the story. It did take away a lot from the story so far, I won't lie. But I'd watch that a thousand times over to never have to watch Wolverine again.
Molly Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I hope the people who've made Salvation have nothing to do with the people who made Rise of the Machines; the worst film ever. Can't be bothered to look. I'm not excited about it, anyway.
Paj! Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I think a lot of films fall beneath Rise Of The Machine as worst film ever. In fact, I wouldn't say it's bad as a film. Relative to the previous two, yes, of course, and it feels strange and...empty, but not the worst film ever.
Molly Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I think a lot of films fall beneath Rise Of The Machine as worst film ever. In fact, I wouldn't say it's bad as a film. Relative to the previous two, yes, of course, and it feels strange and...empty, but not the worst film ever. Fine, take my post literally But it is awful, IMO. I was cringing when I watched it, compared to... being in love when I watch the first two.
Wesley Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I just found out that Ricky Gervais is co-directing and starring in a new film called The Invention of Lying, comes out in September. Quite excited! Also, co-wrote.
Ashley Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 ooooooooor not Fanboys 2 is being planned Lets hope this one doesn't take four years to come out ^_^
flameboy Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Did I miss something? Saw a trailer for Goal 3 on Soccer AM today..but not for cinema release but on DVD...has it gone straight to DVD or did I miss it? No surprise if it has gone straight to DVD as the 2nd one was awful.
Happenstance Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 'Buffy' movie planned without Whedon A new version of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is being planned for the big screen, claims The Hollywood Reporter. Fran Rubel Kuzui, who holds the rights to the franchise, has announced that she is hoping to resurrect the character with Vertigo Entertainment without the involvement of creator Joss Whedon. "It was [Vertigo's] interest in taking Buffy into a new place that grabbed us," she explained. "Everything has its moment. Every movie takes on a life at some point and this seems like the moment to do this." Kuzui added that she has not ruled out the possibility of inviting Whedon to participate, but confirmed that the movie will have no connection to the TV series and that supporting players including Angel, Willow, Xander and Spike will not be involved in the plot. Whedon, who wrote the script for the 1992 movie starring Kristy Swanson, later revived the character for the highly successful cult series of the same name. The show, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, ran from 1997 until 2003. Taken From Digital Spy I really cant see this going down well with Buffy fans
