Mokong Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Hi Guys, in case some of ye didn't notice I been on holiday in The Philippines for the last 4 weeks. Just got back last Friday night and here's some photos for ye to look at April 1st - Sarabia Manor Hotel, Iloilo (http://www.sarabiamanorhotel.com/) So I had planned to take my fiancé Joy to an Island Resort for 2 night on April 2nd, so we decided to stay in a hotel on the 1st and a rep from the resort picked us up at the hotel to take us to the resort the next morning (which invovled a taxi, a pumpboat to Guimeras, taxi across Guimeras and another pumpboat to the island, only took 1 hour 30mins). The one night at the hotel in an Executive Room cost i think 2300peso which is around 40 euro So the pic below is the room in the hotel And this is the view from the rooms balcony over the swimming pool And this is by the pool in the evening time April 2 - 4: Costa Aguada (http://www.costa.com.ph) So then we spent the next few days at a resort called Costa Aguada, was great. The island is totally private, over 1000 hectors all owned by one family who built the resort also. The resort can has enough cottages for over 200 people but there was only about 40 when we were there. It was nice a quite but lots to do if you want. Pictures at our cottage Pictures from the resorts Warf, of the beach, the swimming pool Here's a pic of some of the staff waiting for new guests to arrive, when they do they are welcomed by the staff singing a song. This is one of the many Japanese bunkers left on the island from World War 2 Here's some pics of when i went horseback riding, Joy only got a pic on the horse but didn't ride it cuz she was scared she'd fall off This is the last night we had there, we ate our dinner next to a bonfire set up (cost 300 peso, approx 5 euro) Next is a couple of pics at the Church in Joys hometown of Miag-Ao, I just love this building it's magificiant looking up at in in real life and hopefully this will be where the wedding will be when the day finally comes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miag-ao%2C_Iloilo#Miag-ao_Church April 16: Igbaras (http://www.igbaras.com) These are a few pics of the small party i had with some of my cousins on my last night in my mothers hometown where I stayed. We had beer, rum, bbq pork and karaoke and a good laugh. April 18: Tagaytay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagaytay) and Enchanted Kingdom (http://www.enchantedkingdom.com.ph/) We spent the last few days in Manila and on the 18th drove to a place called Tagaytay, the first two pics were taken at the "Peoples Park in the Sky" where you get a great view of the Taal Volcano, and the 3rd pic was taken at a place called "Picnic Grove". After Tagaytay we went to a theme park called Enchanted Kingdom for the rest of the day, brilliant time, of course it has all the regular types of rides theme parks have, plus there's paintball, go karts and ATV's, once you pay admission (500 peso per person, approx 7.50 euro) all rides are free, expect the 3 i mentioned above. Paintball is 100 peso (approx 1.50euro) for 20 bullets, 105 peso for 30 and 120 for 50, Go-Karts 210 peso (approx. 3.35euro) for a single seater, 320 peso for a two seater, for 9mins. ATV's 200 peso for a single seater, 300 peso for two seater Here's some pics of the paintball, we played 2 games, 2 vs 2, you can see in the 2nd game my cousin managed to smack me with a perfect head shot April 20: Airport And finally a shot at the airport going home Also there'll be vids going up on my Youtube, the first of which is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6iygEdIUl4 More to come soon
