Can all future mentions of Lady Gaga be put in spoilers. Her complete void of personality, and inability to dress herself in things that she hasn't found in a bin round the back of McDonalds, is utterly offending.

Does anybody else on here really like Pink Floyd? I don't listen to their stuff quite as often as I used to but I still love some of it. In particular this track of late:

In fact I find the whole Wish You Were Here album sublime from start to finish, which is a little odd as I never really liked it previously.

I'm afraid I really don't. Was one thing that made me somewhat unpopular on my first day of Uni. :heh:

I only really like "Another Brick in the Wall" (Part 2, apparently)

Oh, and "Comfortably Numb" as part of my anti-Scissor Sisters attitude.

Meh. The only Cyrus I find annoying, is her father. He clings to her to get any press he can, it's embarassing.

She is only 16 years old.. I'd half expect her old man to be keeping an eye on her.

I had taken a liking to the Ashes to Ashes theme used in the advert (and enjoyed watching the show on Monday because of its 80s theme) so when I heard the band (Spandau Ballet) perform on Jonathan Ross I found it pretty impressive. Currently listening to Spandau Ballet on Spotify and loving it :)

edit: regarding Miley Cyrus, I thought the interview was quite entertaining to watch. The only thing I did not like was when it cut back to the green room and you could see Miley not watching the others interviews such as when she was using her mobile phone.

I'm growing to like her acoustic stuff more and more, but hating her "stage personality" or whatever more and more.

That vid Haggis posted is really good though. (imo) Hopefully she'll deflate/get a life if she makes a second album.

I just can't be angry with someone who sang the lyric "It might blow up and kill this man" about his heart. Legend.

I know thanks to Daft's championing, this thread saw a bit of love for the Presets - particularly their last album.

So in checking out some of their older stuff, I came across this one and found they also have a video for it. I've listened to this track an abhorrent amount of times just today alone. And it turns out the video is sweet too with a rather fetching art style and animation.

Girl and the Sea - Give it a listen and you shan't be disappointed.

lol at the Amnesiac version of Morning Bell: abundantly clear the lyrics are

'cut the kids in half!

cut the kids in half!

release me!

release me!'

God bless Thom Yorke and his insane, bobbing head.

Just back from PJ Harvey and John Parish. Aboslutely brilliant.

AMAZING VENUE. What gigs should be like, intimate, no security guards in the way, really personal, her dancing in the crowd (which had candle-lit tables and stuff), and us actually being able to talk to her.

But yeah, she is a legend. There's no denying it. She's a musical figurehead of the late 20th/early 21st century. I bow down to her.

I love Little Boots video for New In Town, I saw it on a couple of the music channels earlier today. Hope it's huge, can't wait for the album.

Listening to a bit of Audioslave. Specifically Like A Stone. Morello's guitar solo is legendary. So good. The mix of Morello and Cornell was a good one as they did make some fantastic songs. Shame that they split but RATM got back together so it balances everything out.

straight up best thing I've ever seen in my life.

I've been giving "Headstrong" (Ashley Tisdales old album) a re-listen. I've come to the conclusion that she's a lyrical genius. :p

"I'm the kind of chick that hits spots, with ma flip flops, listenin' to hip-hop...you feelin' me?"

Though, I love He Said She Said.

I can't help it, I love the beat to it. It's music with absolutely no substance, but who says that's always a bad thing? The kind of thing I'd love to hear in a club when utterly trollied.

In other news, Lily Allen has announced her UK tour. I am so happy! She's appearing in Sheffield in November. If Razz and I fail to get tickets, I may throttle someone. Apart from local bands, I've never seen a live concert, I need.
