It's not an April Fool. There are loads of NDA's and they cannot reveal anything until they have expired. We've heard nothing on new Nintendo Wii games for a long time, so I fully believe something will be announced very soon. They are the Official Nintendo magazine, so they bloody well should have exclusives.

The Leon silhouete thing was because they knew something already about Resident Evil perhaps?

But they are the dipsticks that said the wiis metal stand was also a power supply for the wii

You can't be right all the time - and it wasn't a rumor started by them - it was out there before anyway. Like Tellyn8 says - they're pretty damn good, great writers and exclusives that no-one believed untill Nintendo revealed them themselves - after deying a couple of times... They are bloody good. That's why I, a Dutch-speaking Belgian, have them in the first place.

Hmm, I'm going to say that the Saturn is headed to the VC with NiGHTS being one of the first titles available. I don't think it's a sequel as look at what it says in the magazine: "Step back in time as a classic game makes a long overdue return!"

The Saturn is something of a gaming blind spot for me as I only knew one person with one and theirs was a bit broken, so I never really got around to playing on one much. However, I know there are plenty of people that would be excited at the possibility or playing titles like NiGHTS, Daytona USA, Radiant Silvergun, Burning Rangers, and — although I think this would have to be newly compressed as it originally came on 4 CDs — Panzer Dragoon Saga again.

another unrelated story, which confirms it for me:

The rumor comes from fellow reader Fei34 who claims that a fellow DigiPen employee told him that Sega Saturn games would indeed be making an appearance on the Wii. Although this could still be wells away from becoming true, the fact that DigiPen, a highly respected video-game school in Redmond Washington, has this sort of knowledge is pretty intriguing. Especially by the fact that both Nintendo of America’s offices and DigiPen’s campus actually interconnects by a simple hallway. Could Fei34’s DigiPen source have even closer access to NOA’s employees in which he/she may have gotten the information?

The only thing that Fei34 left me was a confirmation that a “big game was coming.” Whether that’s a Sega Saturn game (like Panzer Dragoon Saga) or not, only time will tell. So don’t dismiss Nintendo’s systems on the Virtual Console as being cemented just yet.

Just a simple port I think.

Has anyone got a better scan of this? I swear the stars in the middle look like they might be the outline of something.

Holy Crap it was an outline after all.

And you all ignored me when I said I thought it looked like an outline! Pah! :heh:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NiGHTS_into_Dreams...

Demand for a sequel to NiGHTS Into Dreams has been strong for many years. A game with the working title "Air NiGHTS" was intended to use a tilt sensor in the Saturn analog pad, and development later moved to the Sega Dreamcast for a time, but eventually the project was discontinued. However, it has been suggested that the motion-sensing technology for Air NiGHTS might have been similar to that of Sonic Team's Samba De Amigo, and it may even have been an extremely early version of that game.

Naka has stated that the Wii is the "perfect console" for a NiGHTS sequel, if such a game was ever developed
