Merry Christmas 2U-Haul! Just arrived back in the UK last night, staying in a shitty seafront hotel in my hometown. The first room they put us in was an accessibility room, which is wonderful that they have but... erm... it was fucking filthy to put it mildy and I'm not sure how "accessible" a room is when theire a desk chair that doesn't fit under the desk and blocks access to the bed. I went down and asked very politely for a change. They upgraded us to a seaview room that was larger but the bed is a single and a half, so, fun times.

Regret that I agree with you on this - especially as virtually nothing is available on streaming services in China. Unless it's an "All-Glory-To-The-Party" historical epic. But frankly, they can keep those.

AMEN, BROTHER. We have the "Citrix Receiver" system installed: the advantage is, "you can log in to any computer, and your desktop will be right there!" Only problem is, every time the system updates ... YOUR DESKTOP IS WIPED CLEAN AND ALL BOOKMARKS IN BROWSERS DISAPPEAR! What an advantage! But as the higher-ups said "It's a great system, and it's all you'll ever need!". NOPE

Broke my left arm last Sunday. Made a spectacular diving save to deny the other team a goal, but caught it only on my left hand, so it took all of the impact. There was a loud *CRUNCH* and I felt like I'd strained the tendons.It hurt for the rest of the afternoon, but was ok Monday thought nothing of it, really. Anyway, I remembered a friend of the family was a doctor at a hospital near my new school, so I thought I'd get it checked out on Tuesday. Really felt there was nothing to worry about. NOPE. Double-break.

Yeah, I was on a 5-hour flight with a baby behind me @Animal and it was pretty nightmarish. Making it worse was Captain Masculine in front of me - his friend was leaning over our seats to talk to him, and thrusting his nuts in Mrs Iun's face. When I said "Sorry, do you mind if my wife sits here while you lean over?" they got all "What did you say? What did you say?!" to me. Anyway, the baby stopped crying and I put my head on the tray table for a doze. Suddenly, Captain Masculine rams his seat back, clobbering me. I said a rude word and he decided we should "Sort things out when we got on the ground" and then used the Chinese version of the N-Word for white people. Which got Mrs Iun angry. Anyway, the guy was super masculine, as you can tell. Because he threatened me on a plane. Which makes him masculine. And not stupid. Because masculine people threaten people on planes. That's what they do.

Rampage (2018) I love The Rock, and I don't think he's that bad in almost everything he has been in. This movie was fair - probably a 6/10 for me, a pretty good spin on a great old arcade game. The CGI was good, the message was poignant, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan was... himself as in everything he's ever been in, but nice to see him playing against type. If you've got little better to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon, you could do a lot worse than this movie. The bad guys were a bit cartoonish though.

With the exception of Iron Fist, I pretty much loved all the Marvel Netflix shows, though I'll admit season 2 of Luke Cage was disappointing.

I haven't watched Dr Who since the second Matt Smith season - it all got so complicated and meta that I found it difficult and dull to follow.

I liked Iron Fist, mostly because everything was fairly simple.

How am I? Quickly disappearing over the Madness Horizon and still accelerating.

ET. I walked into my friend's front room at the moment when the alien screams, it was just horrible timing. Ever since then, I was convinced that ET was waiting in every bush, hiding behind the curtains or in the dank patch at the bottom of the garden.

Took a long time to get going, but the last few episodes were amongst the finest TV that I have seen.

I'm enjoying this, but I don't like how you have to pay for the things that you have unlocked. If you unlock something, you shouldn't then need currency to open it.

I must be about 2/3 of the way through now, still haven't spent any real money. Loving it.

Really enjoying this! I like how my play sessions are limited by the battery - i.e. can't overdo it and it's just the right sort of game to play in short bursts. This is the most I have played my Switch undocked since buying it.

@BowserBasher Looks much better than I expected! I still wish it was a little larger scale, but there's some excellent details.

@BowserBasher Is it easy to photograph the interiors? It looks like the rooms are a bit small.

Eurovision is still a thing? And it's still a thing people get excited about? Who'da thunk it! Still, have fun!

I did not enjoy this as much as the first season, it was still better than The Defenders and Iron Fist, but the lack of a really threatening villain made it fall flat.
