Todd Howard's golden shower parade; no of course the Xbox show (though it wasn't far off being the same thing ) To be fair though, Persona 3,4 & 5 is a nice get; as is Nioh 3 Wo Long and Hollow Knight Silksong. As for the rest? They can keep it.
-
Yup. That looks like Hollow Knight alright!
-
Atlus puts Persona 3, 4 and 5 on Xbox before Switch… … Atlus gonna Atlus I suppose
-
Well that was mostly a fat load of wank wasn’t it?
-
To be fair, neither of the two previous Strikers games had much in the way of single player content either. You had the basic championship mode and then the 12 challenges in Strikers Charged and that’s it. It was always all about the multiplayer with Strikers.

Just found out that Fervor Records officially released Hard Times on vinyl back in 2020… with this album art… They knew what they were doing…
-
And there it is. MJ was indeed involved in Sonic 3.
-
Well that looks rad as hell! Defo looking forward to this
-
Yeah. I suspect that we may be looking at a three-way battle in March as all three platform holders scramble to get their respective cannons out before the end of the fiscal year. An all out console war!

Big blow to Sony, but not unexpected at all (I mean, I did call it earlier in this thread). Sorry @Julius. Looks like you’re gonna have to update that thread title after all I take it that means that TLOU Remake is gonna be Sony’s big Xmas game to fill the Kratos-sized gap now?

This is so dumb. Why are they doubling up on games that they have already re-released in previous collections for the same damn consoles!? Why bother with the SF Alpha games when they've only just re-released them in the SF Anniversary collections on the same bloody consoles!? It's not even like a SEGA situation, where the western-made Genesis collection was such complete arse that we welcomed higher quality re-releases! The SF Anniversary Collection and Fighting Collections are actually good!

Since when do Nintendo do focus testing with the public? They literally never do this. I could believe them making a 1,2,Switch sequel, but I can't believe them doing public focus testing with it when they never do this with any of their other games (all early evaluation is done within EPD and then Mario Club/high level NOA Treehouse staff). And even then. If the game was that bad, do you really think that it would've made it all the way to the end of development? This is the company that publicly scrapped the original versions of Metroid Prime 4 and Nintendo Switch Sports halfway through development because they didn't meet their expectations; yet we're supposed to believe that this 1,2,Switch sequel only starts getting red flagged after it's already finished? Nah. This story is bullshit.

Here's the full list of announcements from Limited Run BTW... Pretty sad that LRG are willing to pay for the 32GB cartridge for Doom Eternal, while Bethesda can't be arsed... But at least it's finally getting a retail release! Pretty cool to see that Rendering Ranger is finally getting a western release! Was always strange that one remained Japan only when it was made in Germany. Tetris Effect Connected is also another big get too; as are the Cave shooters!

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
They can’t restock the standard controller, but they can release a limited edition one? Yup. Sounds like Nintendo alright! -
That’s what the rumour mill was circling… Would also help explain why Nintendo are refusing to talk about what N64 games are coming to NSO after Pokémon Snap… Thanks Amazon!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Surely I wasn’t the only person weirded out by this minigame? I mean… it’s just straight up baseball in Zelda. Not even like a Hyrule take on the sport, nope, it’s just straight up baseball. -
PlayStation State of Play (Thursday 2nd June @ 23:00 BST)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Zelda 1 was never an open world game, that is revisionist bollocks. That game was designed with a specific difficulty curve in place; with increasing complexity as you progressed through the game. It had a very traditional, almost Mario-like structure. Sure, you could explore a large section of the map at your leisure (not the whole thing, importantly, large segments of the map were cordoned off by required items); and you could do some of the dungeons out of order if you wanted to (not all. Some dungeons required specific items to progress). But the game was designed with linear progression in mind from the beginning. Guess what. ALTTP also let’s you do most dungeons in any order you want to as well! Even OoT allows you to complete dungeons out of sequence if you want to. That doesn’t make them open world games. For all the rhetoric made about BOTW going “back to the series roots”; that’s a load of horseshit. BOTW’s biggest inspiration wasn’t Zelda 1, it was Minecraft, Ubisoft’s open worlds (especially the towers), and Skyrim. Anyway, that’s enough about BOTW. This isn’t the topic for it anyway (though it’s influence on games like Sonic Frontiers should be blindingly obvious). -
I just realised something... This new SF6 trailer proved that the leak about the supposed Final Fight reboot was absolutely real... only that instead of it being released as a standalone game, it ended up getting cancelled and rolled into SF6 as its single player mode instead!

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Dcubed replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The frustrating thing is that the US have apparantly been getting some restocks over the past few weeks, but we've been getting sod all! I can't speak for any 3rd party knockoffs on Switch; but I can say that I'm super glad I ordered 4 of the Switch N64 NSO controllers while I could! They're the tits! -

Mega Drive Mini 2 announced (Includes SEGA CD games!!)
Dcubed replied to Glen-i's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Funny, I was literally just looking on eBay for a reasonably priced copy of Shining Force CD and Popful Mail, to no avail. So this announcement is well timed! Saves me a cool £600-700
