you do realise that 99% of Tokyo isn't the neon lit shopping district, right?
-
Shheeeeeeeee--iit. Looks pretty funny

Yeah that's a huge problem in these games- there's just no way any kind of narrative can be sustainable and believable under the stress of that body count. It makes no sense.

They need to make the missions more open. It's too much of a juxtaposition to have such an expansive city and then have each mission put your creative balls in a clamp. Also: make it shorter! GTAIV was much improved by The Lost and Damned because the latter had such a brief span- I simply don't give two fucks about Nico because his quest for revenge was nothing but a mcguffin stretched too thin. By comparison, The Lost provided a compelling narrative because the characters were good and the story had momentum. In fact, fuck a main story. Lets have a bunch of protagonists all across the city all with short stories to tell.

Unfortunately, I don't think that's true. Season 4 is my favourite. It sums up everything great about The Wire and it has the best B-cast of the lot. on top of it all, the finale reduced me to a blubbering emo wreck so there's that.

they're usually blue, yeah. it varies from artist to artist though- but never red.

Dealing with the High Street Charity Vendors
Dan_Dare replied to Ganepark32's topic in General Chit Chat
ah, Fargate... my brother worked in the charity sector for a few years doing proper fundraising (hundreds of thousands, not a tenner a month) and he said that a lot of organisations were moving away from the chuggers because they suck massively. All they do is get students etc to sign up and they can never commit to any kind of long term payment. Plus they generate a lot of ill will because they pester people, associating annoying tactics with even good causes. -

seriously, put on headphones. You vanish from their view like a gazelle freezing in place to throw off a predator. No mp3? no problem! Just put some on anyway... -
Shhh! If you don't say it it won't be true!

Looking really good. Very cool trailer.

lol, what a dick.

maybe not exclusives but I'll be buying Bulletstorm, Deus Ex and (probably) Brink in the next few months. Not a bad run if you ask me.

Been getting in to this again lately- though I merely put it down rather than giving up or anything. What a game

I think you summed it up well flameboy! The Darkness had flashes of greatness and some fine ideas but they were often poorly communicated and lost in obtuse level design choices. It's a shame Starbreeze aren't on it again though because anyone who played the Riddick remaster on 360 can tell you it's an excellent game that was made have learned a great deal from The Darkness.

someone else got it.

to be fair, Frank Miller is an absolutely massive cunt. I'm sure most people would hate to work with him. And if Dave Gibbons can work with Alan Moore, I reckon he can work with anyone.

....Should I have? Well either way that's a fucking dream team- genuinely something I would have put in an 'any two creators doing whatever the fuck you like' fantasy list.

That's different- there's actual precedent there.

Spot on. I think they'll really nail Cap as an acrobat by the looks of the trailer, which is great. It's exactly how he should fight. I'm excited. Woo Woo. Think I'll avoid any substantial trailers though- the extended Thor one was a bit of a piss take really.
