I checked for travel insurance beforehand, but because we traveled from the UK to Belgium and from there on to Spain, they said I couldn't get cover (only flights directly from UK). Doubt it would have covered this "small" amount of money anyway. Luckily I still have money in a different wallet (two different places even), but it's more just the fact that this makes me feel quite unsafe in my own (holiday) home.

We were having a lovely holiday in Spain, only to have some fucker(s) try and ruin it... While we were outside today, enjoying the sun by the pool, someone seems to have snuck into the house and stolen our wallets. How they did this we don't know, as I lock the side door, and the only open door is the one by the pool... So they must've snuck past us somehow while we were out there (me reading a book, Jim listening to Spotify while sunbathing). Fucking scary. Found our wallets in the front garden, all the money taken out. Bank cards still in there. Luckily I had hidden our credit cards and passports, and they didn't touch the laptop, car keys or other stuff. Just the money (not sure how much was in there, but more than €50...). Stupid fuckers.

Not sure if we can make it to Zell's tonight. Still waiting for our coach which should've been here an hour ago. So we probably won't get to our hotel until after 9 (and then still look for food somewhere). We'll see what happens... not a great start to our holidays. :P

The planet @Fierce_LiNk started on was quite toxic as well, he had to keep going into caves or back into his ship to get his toxic level back down. The second planet he landed on was radioactive, so quite similar to the first one. Never was annoying though, he got enough time in between to walk around and explore, with his personal shield just slowly going down. Some of the creatures we saw were quite weird. Some can be friendly (like our Moon Cow), some not so much. :P

I don't mind really! I'm fine with most food myself. Just wondering how easy/difficult it would be for all of us to eat in the same place? Might be too big a group for most places anyway?

A burger is pointless without a pattie. Especially when the person in question is not a massive fan of vegetables to begin with. :P He eats meat if it's halal. So yeah.

I don't mind where we go. Five Guys is alright with me (never been, but love burgers), however they don't really seem to have veggie options for @Fierce_LiNk.

Things are just getting worse and worse it seems. Stupid Brexit, messing everything up. I feel quite unlucky about this: Oh look, mortgage rates are dropping... We just got ourselves a fixed mortgage deal for two years. Oh look, house prices might drop after all this... We just bought a house. Oh look, the Pound has dropped significantly against the Euro... The Euros my parents transferred to me a few months ago for our deposit, would've been worth a lot more now. Saving money is just going to be even more difficult now. Rates on savings accounts were already shit, now it's just not going to be worth having one at all I think. I've been using a current account with a decent interest rate, am going to have to keep my eyes open for any other good accounts that show up (if any).

@Fierce_LiNk and I will be attending too on Saturday! Friday is a maybe.

Housing happiness might depend on the type of house you build as well. Mansions of course will be better than country houses for example. Upgraded houses are usually better. And electricity will improve the housing quality too. And small things like having a beautiful area (with parks) can help. And churches help too. For some of the apartments, having road access improves the housing quality too (it will tell you in the description which ones need it). Also, not everyone might be able to afford the houses you build. There are certain edicts that can help with this. One of them for example will make sure that even citizens who are Broke (for example through being unemployed) will go up to the Poor status (meaning they can at least afford the cheapest house). And there's another edict that lowers the wealth level required for people to afford houses (Filthy Rich property becomes available to Rich, Poor becomes available to Broke etc.). Oh and make sure that there are houses where there are jobs. People don't want to have to travel across the island to get to their job. So always have houses near things like factories and farms etc. I hope some of that makes sense haha!

I'm so sorry about your loss Cube. It's good you still got to see him beforehand at least, to say goodbye. *hugs*

Where are you located @Zell? I'm not sure yet if we can make it to yours on Friday as we will get to London/our hotel quite late, but just in case if we have time...

The beeping thing doesn't happen often enough for it to be annoying/an issue. Doesn't happen all the time or anything. But we usually turn off the plug when we are not using our TV or PS4, so we would only notice it when playing (and even then it's rare).

Just booked tickets to go to one of my favourite locations in the world, Calpe in Spain! We didn't think we could go this year as the house my extended family own was likely to be sold this year. But it seems it is still available and no one else has booked it for the time I had booked off from work... so we just bought plane tickets to go! It's a bit crazy as we are going to London for the N-E meet, then go to Belgium with the Eurostar (this was already booked, can't change the tickets) on the 14th, go to Spain on the 16th, go back to Belgium on the 25th and then back to the UK on the 27th. Busy! :P Quite excited about this now!

Except you can't. Source. So much hypocrisy in this referendum. Take back control my ass.

Some good news today (after some bad stuff with our boiler breaking (fixed now) and my drawing tablet about to die); our mortgage application finally came through, yay! I was worried we wouldn't get it for some reason, or that they wouldn't think the house was the value we offered. But it's come back now, which hopefully means things can start moving along. Maybe after this summer we will be in our own house. Need to start figuring lots of things out, like internet, energy supplies, council tax, getting a builder in to put in some new doorways, getting a quote for a bathroom refit...

A couple of months is nothing really, in the grand scheme of things. Sure it won't be fun to be apart from each other, but it's not something that you can't overcome. Jim and I did it for 3.5 years and we turned out fine. Just make sure you stay in contact, and try to meet up whenever is possible (we met up every school holiday, as we were both students at the time).

It's fine by me! The more the merrier! What are the plans for the 13th? Hyde Park if the weather is ok? Then venture somewhere else (with food) in the afternoon/evening? It's been a while since we've been to one of these so not sure if the "format" has changed much. :P We will basically just be around for the Saturday I think, won't get to London until the late evening on Friday as I have work, then off to Belgium on Sunday morning.

Damnit Belgium. Why you disappoint me so?
