I think that something like that is more likely for the DS. I think a 2D MMO (LoZ:LTTP style) would be very fun. I have a feeling that this could be a peripheral or a pad. But hey if it's a console: WonderSwan! I've never met anyone who has actually even played one. Big woo...

I like the trailer and I'm excited about the game. And I still stand by the fact that there is very little information about the game itself in the video. You can speculate all you want but all that will happen is that you will make decisions on assumptions not fact. It's up to you really...

Half-Life has a good story? I can't think of a game apart from Eternal Darkness where I have thought that the story was actually impressive. FF7 (i can hear the flames already) has a pretty good, if not implausibly twisted, story. I can think of very few games where the story didn't feel like an excuse to set up the premise for the levels and the game itself. ED is the only game that I can think of where it was designed around the story first.

Was just wondering whether it was worth getting your hands on a dev kit. Cause if you don't get that much extra stuff or interface then you may just as well develop straight for the commercial console unit, if you get me.

Quick question to anyone who would know: What does a dev kit actually contain? I'm guessing the console, a way to interface it to another computer, specialised software and a bunch of manuals. In Nintendo's case also a hotline for dev questions too...

I'd take her somewhere really beautiful. Some little place that you have secretly discovered that just allows you to sit back and take it in. I always find that in when you concentrate on how beautiful the world around you is, everything seems peaceful and happy. This should set a perfect scene for you two to reflect happily on your past year and really enjoy spending time together...

Hit London Zoo mate. Their reptile house rocks the cazbah (sp?). I did my research project there and the amount there is phenominal. Got Nile monitors, 2 Komodos and a pretty sick selection of snakes. They also have a very healthy breeding program and are selling some of the snakes for sure. They also have mini tortoises, whose babies are about the size of a bottle top! http://www.zsl.org/london-zoo/animals/reptiles-and-fish/ Raja is the male Komodo and he's super friendly. Considering how dangerous their bite is, the keepers practically pet him like a dog... it's crazy!

Spoken like a god Seriously Ocelot, if you just wanna play MGS and Daxter then start saving for a PS3. You started this thread by questioning how many Wii games will have a strong story. We answered that question and now what you are actually saying is that you don't like many of the Wii games for a handful of different reasons. So from my point of view what you are saying overall is: "I don't like any one game really for the Wii, eventhough I don't know much about any of them (it would seem). Therefore the Wii will fail." Just cos you don't like the games... Also I said what I did before because I think that your opinion is bogus and I stated that because you asked for my opinion.

Good call with the VC game Ocelot. I'm really surprised how much money everyone has to be just forking out what looks to be about £400 on release day. Me: White 1 controller (probably red) Zelda Metroid Excite Truck or WiiSports DVD dongle.
