The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I was thinking that perhaps the Virtual Console is around the corner for Switch (although there was no mention of it in the direct last night) and they are planning to charge the same prices for NES games that they have for Wii U and 3DS. Maybe they want to avoid negative press over those prices when it works out cheaper to buy a NES mini (at RRP). But even then, a NES mini is locked down to it's pre-installed 30 title's and ideally the switch will have a great deal more VC games added to its library in its lifetime. I can't figure it out. It's almost as if they designed the thing for scalpers lol

What is the thought process behind launching a product at the end of 2016 in limited quantity then discontinuing it barely six months later?

that looks fantastic

I've got the maximum three stamina wheels and still can't tame wild horses half the time. In assuming I need to eat something that gives me even more stamina beforehand. -

Yeah it must be, because I never saw them again in Hyrule castle. It's not a problem though as you can just buy any missing photo's from a guy in the lab. Outside of those two bosses I've taken most of the pictures needed to finish the compendium and just have a handful of things to find. -

Yeah its a little annoying because I took a picture of one of them but died during the fight. At the time I didn't realise that when you respawn, the photo you've taken isn't there because its reloading you from before you took it. -

Yeah I am and I keep retaking pictures when I'm not happy with what I have. I like that you can replace pictures with newer ones. I missed taking pictures of a couple of bosses though, so I'll have to buy those from that guy at the lab. -

Defeated Ganon yesterday. I loved the music that played as you work your way up to him inside the castle and wondering around seeing it in ruins, finding zelda's diary etc. I thought the final boss fight was fun but I can't say I cared much for the ending as not very much happened. I had hoped for a grander ending then what I got, but it just felt like I was watching another memory cut-scene. I didn't get the "full" ending as I've not collected all memories, but i hear it only adds a small scene to the ending anyway? I still have Shrines to find and side quests to complete plus loads of areas I've not actually been to. I was going to attempt to complete the game 100% but now that I've looked at the checklist I'm really undecided if I'll bother, because it seems to mostly be about collecting Korok seeds. In fact Korok seeds make up 72% of the overall 100%. A lot of the fun things i actually like to do, like side quests and defeating mini bosses don't count. So I'll be just doing the stuff I enjoy for now until I get bored. -
A HD Paper Mario 2 would make me very happy. I genuinely think it's one of Nintendos best games. @Serebii , I don't think Charlie is saying all leaks will be true because of the January one, he's just not instantly dismissing this because of how accurate that last leak was.

I don't own a Switch sadly, but I'll be watching some live streams of tonight's test, which should be in a couple of minutes from when I post this.

finished all 4 divine beasts and got the Master sword, so I guess next stop is Ganon. I still have to find 7 more memories and have a ton of quests to do, so I'll probably do that stuff first. -

I noticed the blue ones have shin guards made out of barrels they've stood in. I found out you can make them catch on fire by hitting it with a fireweapon, which makes him try and stomp it out, which of course gives you loads of time to attack him lol The black Hinoxes have leather shinguard though, so it won't work on them. Edit - Just found out they're made of metal not leather...so you can electrocute them! -

Yeah, I beat a White maned Lynel yesterday but it took everything I had. I found another one today and decided it would be best to just leave it be lol -
Yeah very suprising its not announced for Switch considering these are all NES games. Maybe it'll come at a later date.Anyhow, I'll buy this on Steam. Duck Tales is my favourite NES game and by chance I've been recently trying to buy these old Disney Capcom games. Duck Tales 2 and Chip n Dale 2 are pretty expensive these days.

I completed my second Divine Beast today (The Geko/Lizard thing on Death Mountain) and then spent another 6 hours wondering around and exploring. I activated another tower, went back to an older area I hadn't really explored properly in the past, finally killed some of the mini bosses, found bunch of Shrines and tons Korok seeds. I also went back to the house I bought back at Hateno Village and fully upgraded it. The only thing I'm having an issue with right now is I can't find that tree you give the Kotrok seeds to to upgrade my item slots lol -

I've been playing for 16 hours, only have 4 heart containers and have not completed a single dungeon but running around exploring the land and finding things to do is so much fun I feel like I could do it forever -
that's pretty shocking considering the price they are asking for it

Well, I got an email from Amazon last night: So still no Zelda for me but they offered me the download code for the same price and gave me £5 credit, so they've been really good about it. -

I'm a Amazon Prime member and pre-ordered zelda. And yet: Edit- just checked my emails and there's one from amazon alerting me about this. Not too bothered, but I would have loved to start playing Zelda today. -

I hope they show Nintendo's GDC talk somewhere. Some of the pictures of it look fascinating: ^They even built a 2D version of the game during production -
I'd never heard of this game before but the devs dropped into giantbomb last week and did a playthrough a couple of stages. I'm really impressed with the way it looks and looking forward to it:
