It looked... okay?

Yeah, I really don't like the settlements, either. I had to plant some crops for Sanctuary, but there was nowhere good to do it, so I ended up just planting them in someone's backyard. Then I had to place four sheltered beds somewhere, so I put the first two in one house and that worked fine. Then I tried to put the last two beds in two other houses, but that didn't work. I thought maybe I had to fix the roof, but there was no way to do that that I could see. So I thought I'd build a new house, but I couldn't figure out how to place walls at a 90-degree angle without having them snap to the walls I'd already placed. And in any case, those walls were already at a slight angle, so the house wouldn't have fit on the foundation anyway. I ended up just building two prefab roofs and putting the beds underneath those, and everyone seemed happy with that, so whatever. It doesn't help that everything you can build is so ugly, but I suppose that's what you get when you try to build a house out of old clipboards.

Just buy it already. You've clearly been swept up in the hype. :p I spent three hours playing this today. I spent most of that time exploring - I didn't even make it to the first settlement. I harvested some melons, bought a dog from some rando and tried to follow a robot - but it was flying halfway across the map and eventually I had to stop following it to keep some old woman from getting herself killed. Then I went into an old church and found some underground tunnels inhabited by raiders. I forgot how addictive these games are.

I don't see how Fallout 3 can be the best game of the previous generation when it was released in the same generation as New Vegas. It's an open-world RPG. It's really nothing like Assassin's Creed - the are actual reasons to explore the world besides searching for collectibles. There are people to talk to and quests to do and loot to find. You're usually free to play the game your way, whether that means choosing who to side with or trying diplomacy over violence. Lots and lots of brown, too. That might make a nice change from Nintendo games.

Awesome, I finally decided to buy Beyond Good & Evil HD a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to play it yet. Ugh, I hope people won't end up playing Mass Effect and The Walking Dead in the wrong order now.

I thought I was being clever when I downloaded this overnight, but then I started playing it last night only to discover when I finished episode 1 that you need to download all of the episodes separately, and so I ended up spending the rest of the evening downloading episode 2.

Someone posted a picture of a Betty Spahetty doll on Facebook, and I made a hilarious comment about how she promotes unrealistic beauty standards, and no one liked it. Pearls before swine. Well, hopefully you'll just eat it.

Other than Glee, Ryan Murphy also created Nip/Tuck and American Horror Story. All of them started out strong, but quickly went completely off the rails. He also created Popular and The New Normal, but I haven't really watched those.

I've been watching Scream Queens, too. It' sooo stupid, but pretty funny. I'm really hoping it'll get canceled, though. I can never stand Ryan Murphy shows after season 1.

That sounds like a perfect opportunity to impress twelve women, though?

Wow, that's harsh. And after I posted such a good recommendation, too. You'd think I'd been bashing Cougar Town the way you're going on.

I really need to watch Ugly Betty at some point. Alone.
-
Criminal Minds probably Jane the Virgin.

So Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is pretty great so far. The best new show of the season. Also the only new show I've watched so far, but whatevs.

I know what you mean. I kick so much butt in real life that all of the non-Gwent parts were like, "eh".

I can't believe she was banned. She's a Disney princess, for God's sake!

Decent post, but I've seen better.

Oh my God, Kristen Bell!? Ashley will be so excited.

I saw this thread, didn't remember ever seeing it before and couldn't figure out why it made me think of BoJack Horseman... I kind of want to watch this now, but I'm halfway through The West Wing, so I should focus on that. Bump this thread again sometime to remind me.

All of Broken Age is good. The problem with the second act is that it reuses so many areas from the first act, but the puzzles are generally better. It's no Grim Fandango, though.

Next month's games: Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita) Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita) Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3) Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3) Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3) Chariot (PS3) Maybe I'll finally get around to playing Super Meat Boy! Although my brother would have to get back to playing Persona 4 and finish that first, so probably not.
