  1. *Gasp* Will this fill the hole in my heart left by Elite Beat Agents?
  2. If you go to a workbench, you can press a button to "store all junk", and it'll be scrapped as needed when you build things. If it's in your workbench, it'll also be usable in other settlements if you set up a trade route. I usually just offload weapons on my companions, as they can be scrapped for rare crafting supplies used when modding weapons. Scrapping things in build mode moves the junk to your workbench. Weapons can't be scrapped automatically, that'd be pretty annoying. I'm playing on easy, so I have about 300 stimpaks, but I've heard that crafting food is a good alternative if you're running low. I was running low on ammunition until I put a couple of points into the perk that makes you find more ammunition while looting, but the easiest way to conserve ammunition is to switch between a few different weapons as needed. There's a ton of fusion cores in the game, so later on you'll be able to wear power armor 24/7 if you want to.
  3. I for one think it's hilarious when Bob makes a fool of himself.
  4. I really liked New Vegas. I thought it was much better-written and offered more freedom than Fallout 3. It felt more like an RPG. But the first two games are even better. I just love the absolute freedom they give you to go anywhere and play any way you want. If you know what to do and you're good enough at the game, you can finish Fallout 1 in ten minutes. It doesn't railroad you into a specific story - it gives you an objective, and it's up to you to decided what to see and do. There aren't as many places to visit, but every area has way more to do and see. And skills actually matter, too! Both games are really amazing. I can't really recommend them unless you appreciate the quirks of CRPGs from the late '90s. But if you're up to the challenge, they're two of the best RPGs of all time.
  5. Giving us just one part of an episodic game is a bit strange, especially since we got an entire season of The Walking Dead just last month.
  6. Have you played any of the other games in the series?
  7. Gwent is AMAZING
  8. Okay, fine - for every ten locations you explore, there's one that actually contains something that makes it stand out somewhat. I don't really care if the enemy placement and traps are different, or if this building is a lighter shade of brown than that other one, when the only real difference is that in this location there was a guy 200 years ago who killed himself after his wife died of radiation poisoning and in this location people 200 years ago were fighting over who would get the last of the food. It's like if there were only five obstacles/enemies in Super Mario games and they were just repeated in different combinations for eight worlds. To me, that's just really boring.
  9. Sure, there are smelting works, military bases, high schools, libraries and underground bunkers, but they all play out the exact same way. You enter a building, kill all of the enemies (usually raiders, ghouls or super mutants), loot obsessively, hack some terminals, pick some locks and at the end there's usually a magazine that gives a 2% boost to some skill you're not even using. Maybe if you're really lucky some of the terminals contain some backstory for the area. I'm playing this for the exploration and role-playing, and exploring isn't fun when there's so little of interest to find. I haven't had much opportunity to role-play so far, either, although that may change once I start focusing more on the main quest. Yeah, that's pretty much been my experience with the game so far, too (except for ten times as long...). I still mostly enjoyed it for the first twenty or so hours, but now it's just become compulsive. Why is there no variety in this game I want to diiieee. So yeah, head to Diamond City. That's what I'm doing, although I took a detour to Vault 81, and that seems like it might be a fun place, too. There's also Goodneighbor, if you haven't been there yet. Those seem to be the only interesting settlements in the game.
  10. Oh, so that's why it's so easy to get headshots now... not that I'm complaining. Yeah, the sidequests are weak in this game. You pretty much have to visit one of the bigger settlements to find anything remotely interesting.
  11. What have you been doing? Are you finding the main quest boring, or have you spent the last two weeks wandering around the Wasteland? I finally made it to a place with NPCs to interact with today, so I'm hoping I'll have a chance to do some actual role-playing at long last. But for now, I'm just happy to have some non-raiders to blow to bits.
  12. No, thankfully I found out that those quests are infinite before I played more than a couple of them (the same with the Brotherhood of Steel quests). I really, really hate the idea of infinite quests, but at least it's made me less worried about doing everything. If I can't clear out my quest log anyway, I may as well not bother with all those boring quests that probably aren't randomly generated but maybe they are because who can tell when almost every sidequest is the same. *Shrugs* I'm just disappointed that there are so few interesting locations to find. I've explored two thirds of the map and I think I can count the interesting locations on one hand. Thank God I made it to Goodneighbor. That's what I wanted - actual interesting places with NPCs to talk to - not raider dens sprinkled all over the map like collectibles in an Assassin's Creed game.
  13. After two weeks, I've finally decided to head to Diamond City, because I'm sick of the side content. It feels like it's nothing but raiders, ghouls and super mutants. When you do find friendly NPCs, it's usually generic settlers who want you to kill some raiders/ghouls/super mutants somewhere before they'll join the Minutemen. Blah. Of the ones I've met so far (only four), MacCready's my favorite, because he likes it when I steal things. Although I don't like how he keeps taking credit for my kills. "That's another kill for me!" You weren't even here! You were in a different room! You butt.
  14. I'd love to get Rummy news and Rummy tips (I don't really need any Rummy reviews, because I assume they're all five stars). What is this website you're talking about?
  15. First Uncharted 2 and now Undertale? Are you a vampire? I ask because you clearly have no soul.
  16. From what I've heard, you have to pick a side eventually, but you're free to work for all sides up to that point.
  17. You, erm, know there's Another Persona 2 game, right? And you could always just play Nocturne on an emulator. Nah, it's worth it, but it takes ages for it to get going. I was really eager to play the sequel after finishing the first game, but now it's been four years and I think I'll have to replay Trails in the Sky first. Me too!
  18. A strategy RPG, like Fire Emblem or Disgaea. I don't know if that answers your question. :p
  19. Trails in the Sky is a well-written game, but the pace is pretty glacial. It's worth playing if you like traditional JRPGs, especially now that the sequel has been translated. Although I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be playing Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne? As for Valkyria Chronicles, I'm really disappointed to hear this won't be an SRPG. *Sigh*
  20. On the latest episode of Scream Queens, they played a song that also plays on Diamond City Radio in Fallout 4. What are the odds!
  21. If absolutely terrible writing means it's gotten better, the season must not have started out very well... I've been checking the NeoGAF thread every now and then, and it seems to be non-stop complaining. But at least they're enjoying themselves.
  22. It's an SRPG. Like a really pretty Fire Emblem, if Fire Emblem took place during a fictionalized version of WW2 and people kept shooting at you when it was your turn instead of just standing around.
  23. I usually just fast travel back to Sanctuary every now and then.
  24. You can transfer your junk to any workbench and it'll be broken down automatically when you build things, but you'll only be able to use it in that settlement unless you set up a trade route.
