MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD. I am pumped.

Visuals are outstanding, controls are tight and responsive. The gunplay is nice and punchy. Movement speed increases when in combat by a decent amount. First impressions are positive. Just got done with a solid hour and a half of the game and my first impressions are very positive. The game oozes atmosphere, art direction is outstanding, the visuals as a whole are probably the best I've even seen on any format. Twice during my first time playing it now I've waited for a cutscene to end when it already has. These visuals are unreal, the indoors especially are beautiful. The gunplay is responsive, has a nice feel to it with the right amount of recoil. The cover system is snappy and does the job just fine, maybe some slight issues going around corners when you have to hold a button in. The QTE's that I experienced during the opening 15 or so minutes were handled well enough. AI might become an issue, hard to tell so early in the game but they seem slow to get into cover. Level layout for the gun battles I had were done quite well with a decent amount of room to move around and flank. The story hasn't really gotten started but it seems like it might be interesting. A quick update to my step dads cancer saga. Its a type of skin cancer in his throat that I forget the name of. He's been given a 50/50 chance of survival (like that movie). He's got to start having chemo 5 days a fucking week for 6 weeks to see if they can shrink the cancer. Urgh. Fuck cancer.

Just this second found out about the no voice chat in match making. Well I guess that's one less game I have to buy this year. Pathetic.

I'm assumed it had something to do with download and play. I could boot the game up after the initial download but there was a long ass install time.

My step dad had his surgery yesterday and they could only remove the right tonsil, the growth on his left was too big to get out so they had to take a little off and we are awaiting the results of the biopsy for that and we are still waiting for the MRI results to see if its spread out through his body because of the lymph nodes but he'll defo be in this cancer saga for some time as he'll need at least 6-12 months of chemo and radiotherapy and even then the doctors don't know if he'll be ok at the end of it, too early to tell. Luckily I'm unemployed (odd thing to say I know) but I'll be here to care for him officially. Next Friday on the 13th there will be a meeting with the doctors I can go to with my mom and step dad and get all the info I need. FUCK CANCER.

I'm liking the new Naruto filler. It probably wont be as good as the original chunin exams but I think its going to be fun.

Eh, I don't give a shit about multiplayer or a forced horde mode. Give me a well built single player and I'm sold. And if its good enough I'll play through it 3 or 4 times.

The new controls make dodging enemies really, really easy.

My step dad has cancer. He's got an emergency operation on his throat Monday to remove a huge portion of it but the doctor says its in his shoulder and ear as well. Gotta wait for the biopsy though to see what happens after the operation. My mom is in pieces. Its going to be a tough few weeks. Obligatory, FUCK CANCER.

I just ordered and paid for it. I really like the look and tone of it and going by the gameplay videos the shooting looks like it works well. Its really hard to talk about the game in detail though. They haven't really shown much of anything. We had the same demo for like six months being shown off to the press, its only recently we have got a little extra taste of what the game offers. Its nice to know so little about the story.

I know the retail release has extra content. I think you get Wesker for Raid mode, new costumes and four extra Raid levels based on older Resident Evil titles. You might want a wait a little as I can see the retail release maybe dropping in price a little before it launches. I realise Invasion should of been so much more but I still loved it at the time. It was kinda like getting a DC vs Marvel comic but with wrestlers. It was fun.

I'm surprised at how good Freedom Wars looks on a big screen.
