I've been fairly shit with paying attention and/or giving the time to games that they deserve for the last... 9 months? Going to sit back and watch games for a bit to try and grow that "aww camaaaan how can you not see it?!" feeling back. I'd do you a disservice by playing and being shit.

As explained by Peeps, it may not be the most direct approach for some users, but we feel that generally speaking people find these elements quick enough by themselves. In general, PSN and XBL IDs, advertised or not, tend not to be exchanged without some form of communcation first. Having them readily advertised under your avatar is a luxury, but not necessarily something which guarentees you more 'friends' on either service -- this community tends to be rather proactive about its networking - if you want to play a game with someone or vice-versa then simply PMing them tends to suffice, rather than surprising them with a friend request. Basically, the IDs are not of primary concern, especially considering this is a nintendo forum first and foremost! If you have any questions or comments, the threads you find in board news & issues are generally a good way to get attention, otherwise feel free to PM an admin or moderator with queries!

I'm currentl going through again to get 5 stars on everything with a guide. Collected all the 'papers first time through. I'm about 35 vehicles in, though I suspect I won't bother with all of them - will aim to get all street crime and collectables and various achievements. I'm just surprised at people saying the game was bland or flavourless - I think they did a really good job of capturing the period with this one. I'm ultimately extremely glad that they brought the game out at all - not quite as point-n-click as I'd hoped but certainly a game that's held my attention for over a week. I'd love for there to be another game similar to this (the ending makes it easy to assume there's no potential sequel) - perhaps set in the 60s/70s new york or something. Was very refreshing trying to be the good guy - though, admittedly, the street missions are repetitive and all about simply shooting someone asap.

Mmmm weekend! Finally, after 5 days of inglorious and thankless work I get a weeke--- waiiiit! I've got a 12 hours shift tomorrow starting at 9am at my other job. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!

Sorted! Bring on the semis!

You slipped. "If the PS3 controller wasn't suited to FPS in the slightest..." the argument is not "the ps3 makes fps games unplayable" rather "the ps3 controller is 2nd rate" - something which melds well with your latest amendmant

Yeah, you're right. It doesn't really bother me! I just wanted to post a 'bad stuff' thing in this thread and that was all I could think of for today. Sorry to everyone for not meeting the bar!
-
I don't even know. It's bad stuff because I was soaked. I was soaked because I'm ashamed to use a brolly. I'm ashamed because I misheard 'them' after they misheard me. I mishear things because I'm hard of hearing, but after realising what was said I'd basically turn up dry but a liar. It's one of those silly circles of silly. Yeah I appreciate, this thread isn't for silly passing comments anymore. I apologise! I'll keep my idiosyncratic oddities to the... er... football thread? I had a bad day because I was wet because of my own stupid inability to cope with what others think of me. As well as the job itself, of course.

Just finished the main story and thought I'd read this thread. Genuinely suprised at a lot of reactions. I guess my gameplay style is different to everyone else's..? I really enjoyed this game. I found it was repetitive, for sure - by the time I was on vice I'd totally stopped driving around and instead got my buddy to insta-drive me everywhere, but this was only because the street-crime locations only ever popped up when I was fucking miles away, and it was just a drag to drive all that way just to shoot some people in the face. The investigations were fairly well made. I think, from reading this thread, that a lot of people really got confused about how to do it right -- goafer and aimless explained it well enough (as the game itself does, but as with many complaints in this thread it's clear that you lot don't really have the patience to enjoy the game), and while I got some cases disastrously wrong, in general I didn't mind getting things wrong. I found the story to be pretty much the best part of the game. The interwoven newspaper articles, the clever-but-annoying way of getting Phelps through homicide and vice, the idea that you can never really get it right... great stuff. I think this game really tested the completionists who got it day 1 and ran through it and totally missed the bartender stuff (lol wtf? Srsly? It was obvious if you actually paid attention. The final war-time cutscene tied things together nicely. So yeah, storywise, great game. Graphics... pushed the boundaries in some ways but entirely sub-standard in others - but the lip-sync side of the graphics really makes the game come to life, and if anything makes it appeal more to those who are used to movies. Yeah. I know I'm months behind as always, but for £10 this was an absolute bargain. Reading this thread and comparing the views y'all had compared to my discounted playthrough really makes me realise taht paying £45 is basically not worth it for any game. If I can wait for ages and clearly get a better experience... then lols to you. (achievement whore in me is tempted to pull up soem guides to get a bunch of stuff. I actually got 12/13 papers in my first playthrough, anyway... but no film reels and only like 30 cars...)

I got an umbrella from a client at work. I told people "I bet I'd make loads of money selling it at a car boot" and they all thought I meant I'd sold it at a car boot, then I replied and stuff and later realised tehy now think I've actually sold the umbrella. It was raining shitloads this morning and I consciously thought "I can't take the umbrellla, they'll think I lied!!" ... So I got utterly soaked instead.

We've done super santas in the past - last year I organised it and my girlfriend did the draw and managed to get me and shorty (my housemate for a couple of years at uni) to be each other's! Worth doing. Not too late, bob! Agree a price limit of a fiver, say.

I've accepted the game, Cube! Tactics set... :P

How is that specifically a 'western' construct?
-
two legs, so I just gotta not lose 6-0? :P
-
Can I get a looooooool? He guessed wing plays, yet I score 3 from crosses, 3 from corners and one penalty. 16 chances for me doesn't quite meet aqui1a's skillz... But yeah. Pretty happy with that result :P Knocking out the reignig cup champ! Who do I play next? Bring it oooon!

God, stop being so gay, chairdriver.

Challege sent out! We drew twice in the league so this should be interesting

Any other game apart from COD and Modern Warfare?
jayseven replied to sagat's topic in Other Consoles
Lolwtf is this thread?! THERE ARE NO OTHER GAMES AT ALL. JUST THE COD SERIES. Noobs. -
I found out santa wasn't real when I was pretty young. My sister had started school and I hadn't, and my mum took me with her to a neighbour's to pick up a My Little Pony castle thing. A month or whatever rolls by, and my sister's unwrapping this massive gift from santa -- it's... the castle. My sister's all ecstatic and I start saying "no it's not! It's from mum! I saw her get it!" and basically my sister was crying because I was telling her that santa wasn't real, and my mum was telling me to shhh and that he was real, so then I'm all "why are you lying, mum?" Probably one of my earliest memories :/
