It's not physically possible to read teh entire book in one night/sitting. Trust me, I tried. I managed 500 pages in about 30 hours (and wrote an essay as well :P) during a 3-day stint to do an essay on this and moonstone and some other book.

Iun... You... Read the whole thing?! How long did it take you? I think I read about 500 pages before i realised I didn't give a shit about any of the characters, nor could I differentiate between them. I understand it's the epitome of the period, but man it dragged on. (personally I'm about 100 pages from teh end of the 6th book in the Dark Tower series...)

Had my hair CUT, sorted out some council tax mockery, feel both ego-boosted and demoralised (hair. Hate hair) by it all. Yesterday I got home to find my housemate had deleted both mine and his characters on Borderlands (no idea if I mentioned it or not on here), and I was level 24! Hours of effort gone! No idea what to do today. Finish my book and booze, I suppose...

Another draw - most boring match ever. I was playing careful and still cube picked up two injuries. I had his tactics sussed - except he defended my through-play attack. I suppose that's all that prevented goals? Roostophe sitting in relegation zone makes me chuckle. "Oh, I won it so I don't give a shit anymore" is no excuse. Next game against ReZ is a vital 'un. I may be looking at two relegations in a row - unheard of for an active manager!!

O_W; what you're surmising is something I muse on from time to time. I've even spouted drunkenly about it in various topics; Consumerism, Commercialism, Imperialism and 'Progress'. 'Efficiency', city-life, standards of living. Fashion! Uniformity. I'm too tired to go into an essay about it now (was meant to go to bed an hour ago!), but essentially I know what you mean and I pretty much agree with you, especially down to that hypocritical skeleton that we can blame on the years of brainwashing we've had to endure. The world evolves. Sure, I get that. Technology gets more wacky and ka-ploosome, or whatever, but my own capacity for happiness, our capacity as a species is not increasing. There is no hurry to get tomorrow's trash today. Too much stuff I feel passionately about for now. ONWARDS! 2009's smart money is on; ... Go Go Hamsters. They do... something. I dunno. But demand's so high we've been told we can only sell two per customer. Don't be ashamed of who you are. Don't think you're the only one making efforts. Especially when you're just getting DVDs. Everyone tries for presents, it's rare to get it right. Careful with the generalisations :P My list was, what, two or three things? I don't have a physical list, and I haven't even told anyone any of the things so I'm not going to get them!

I've not been on the internet since... I don't know when. Decided not to pay rent this month because of festivities and stuff. Had a mostly good weekend, but more and more I just feel left out, trodden on, unwanted, misunderstood, overlooked, weak, puny, insignificant, emo, emo, etc. I think I'm reaching 'clinically depressed' levels and I don't think there's a soul in my life who really gives a shit. And I'm resorting to posting about it on the internet. FML. *gets a drink*

What's the big deal, again? This article essentially states that Google was broken before (allowing guests to view members-only info, if you like), and now it's fixed (because of a threatened law-suit). BBC.co.uk is the only news website I've ever actually gone to in order to be 'up-to-date' with the world, and that's free.

I... Yes. Not happy with that. A ridiculous result, really. Promotion would be a proper struggle to attain this season so it looks like I'm in the mid-world for the long run! My other team won, thus earning me guarenteed promotion (unless I lose 6-0 to the team in bottom place in my last game) which will make for double the stress in the future weeks...
